Yeah sure, basically it is just an optional thing, this indicates that the 220 volt is present at this side of board, there is a totally no need to do this additional step but in our homes there is an indicator on every single board that is why I add this little indicator to show that 220 volt is coming, you can skip this Thanks for commenting

1) please insure that the resistance is of same value as in circuit Diagram 2) insure that u use 3mm led (not much imp) 3) insure that the diode is in proper direction Most important 4) Use 2 watt in place of 1 watt. Ask the shopkeeper for good quality resistance. It will cost you about ₹3 or ₹5. Thanks

Bhai any diode which can hold more than 0.5 A will work. As IN4007 is the most common and cheap (₹1/pcs) , that's why I use this in my project, but 90% your diode will also work.

Transformer converting 220v to 6v, and rectifier transform this AC voltage into DC voltage. They both work in combination, and both has their own individual function. You can call it whatever you want.

Bhai dekh jaise hmne pda hai ki ac is alternative current that is the current which changes it's polarity continuously so if convert ac to dc and use it directly the there will be continuous flicker clearly observed in the light , moreover if the load or device is sensitive then it's life may be decrease or it may be damage. That's why we use capacitor to fill the gap between voltage. For more information refer to NCERT class 12th.

Hi Priya!!!, This is Hardik on this side. I know this is little bit difficult but here are some tips... 1)Leave your project aside for some time and start watching this video from start (with skipping anything by supposing you don't know anything). 2) If you are talking about indicator resistance then, i have used a 68Kohm resistance but make sure it is a 1-watt resistance (usually we use 1/4 watt resistance, but here we have to use 1 watt resistance). 3) if only indicator is not working and everything else is working fine then you can skip it, i dont think so that any external teacher will argue with you for it if only the transformer circuit will work fine (which is the actual motive of this project). @@p_1102 look priya, this is a simple project, nothing is to be confused about... Just watch the entire video relaxly, i had explained everything in brief (acc. to best of my knowledge). The 220v led needs 68kOhm resistance and the last 6v led which is derived from the transformer needs a 1kOhm resistance

Sorry, I am not able to get your point. but if you are trying to say that what is the length of the wire used in the whole project then, the wire used in the project is around one metre long and the the cord which is used to power on the project it is approx 3 metres long.

@@ashmithamaria1421 I am not able to remember the exact dimensions because I submitted it to my class teacher many months ago, but it is bigger than A4 size and less than the A3. You don't need to be exact because you have to carry this project to your school, so it is better to make it as portable(small in size) as you can, so that it is is easier to carry it around.
