I think the timing for Burton to partner/ collaborate / transformate with union is good. I believe Burton reached their own RnD plateau, and needed some fresh perspective from a binding company with the capacity for re-interpreting and innovating the step on system. I have had tried Burton step ons for the past two seasons and keep having same issues particularly with the clicking from the heel cleat (not toe cleat) in their 2.0. I have done a lot of online research and riding with them to see what some issues are. I think it can be solved by some fresher binding interpretations. Also, major issue for me is the lack of adjustments for the high backs both with forward lean and for twisting highback. This is something of a strong area for union dna that I think they won’t want to see sacrificed in a reinterpretation of their step on models. But, soon enough we will know the direction union will start to lay out for this venture. I’ll give another try to step ons union can renovate them enough.

Thanks for your comment! That’s true if Burton could keep creating and developing systems, they don’t need Union’s collaborate Also there are no other companies who can collaborate beside Union Technical, development, investment.. All of these methods have to be good enough to collaborate, Union is the only one company who can accept all of these. I think everything will change in the near future, and your problem will be solved
