A key factor is the fact SCR is yesterdays news. Sure it might’ve been realistic back in the day where the other only options you had was games like Terminal Railways but now with how realistic games have become other railway games have exceeded the realism and SCR is far behind, the overall graphics feel very much childish and cartoony while the tracks make you feel like you’re playing a roblox game from 2017. Despite the trains now being mesh I don’t even think they’re as realistic as other trains from railway games and like you said the physics is just questionable. The game is quite badly optimised due to the high part count, making other players’ trains often stutter a lot as well as glitch, furthermore taking away the realism for the game. The game does receive a decent amount of players, but personally it needs a massive overhaul if it wants to be more than just a decent railway game that averages 300 players mostly.

Great video! I haven't played SCR or ROBLOX at all since 2019, and it's sad to see a game that I loved so much as a kid decline in this fashion. But signs of this were showing even 5 years ago. The main problem is that people in SCR and the ROBLOX/Discord Community can't hold themselves to account. A lot of the same things that caused Charlie to resign other people were doing. A lot of them were both low ranks (and moderators refuse to enforce the rules) and high ranks (won't enforce the rules on themselves). I had to leave because SCR would refuse to help resolve bullying in the group (and it wasn't like just "na na na na na na na", it was literal impersonating other people and would make them look like a racist). A lot of the other issues you mentioned (like development, maintenance, and realism) were affecting the game back then. Although it's sad to see it in such a decline, they had an opportunity to make the correct decisions to save the game, but they refused to act on them, and that's on them. That's their responsibility.

Oh hello, I’ve finally returned I agree with your points as I have stepped down from making yt videos due to the toxicity of the community, and the fact that the game is so bland. After 2 years of not uploading videos, I can finally get out of this imaginary scr world that I was living in and work on my life instead of this game. I do still play British Railway however I had lost my interest in trains overtime due to the fact that it just gets boring. A train is something you travel on most of the time and it isn’t as great for a passion. However back to your point, this is exactly why I stepped down from making videos and gave the channel wholly to Delta, my cousin. - Qatar001 (Former scr yt creator.)

I got bored of the game due to it not updating a lot, and it got boring, and I do not play it a lot anymore. There are many better UK railway games on Roblox and I play them a lot more than SCR. If they ever do end up giving the game more big updates, I may play a bit more again but overall the game is just really boring and buggy now

😂 funny vid. You called it a cashgrab yet its free to play. And you say its broken like its unplayable. I remember when it was like that and went back after a while and at that point it was fixed. I doubt you played it that recently.

First of all, you do realise that the way the points system works, the developers get more money as you can't directly buy trains and routes making there bring leftover points (Not even going to mention the Class 345) Secondly, I mentioned the bugs as a reason many people moved on from the game. Also from what I've seen in the discord, I doubt they've been all fixed. Especially since the images I found went up to a week old

I normally play TSW3 but due to it being kinda pay to play I would also play SCR & British Rail but my PC bad.
