I’d say he and Lebron (not a Lebron fan) both did it simultaneously. Because of the heat going to small ball and spacing the floor, it allowed for a different type of defense which is how we get Draymond who was undrafted. So we get a Draymond who can dribble and space which makes the best shooter off the dribble the most dangerous man on the planet when he can drive and handle too.

To me Curry has nothing to prove for sure but if there is one thing he would for sure want to have on his resume before he retires, that would for sure be a finals mvp with the championship, at least one finals mvp with a championship to add to his already decorated resume is all he needs. That's the only thing that's missing but if he doesn't get that then it shouldn't for sure decrease his legacy all that much. The dude has revolutionized the game in his own way.
@ragingsavage90593 жыл бұрын
The thing is if people really understood the game Steph would be the final mvp on all the rings. KD was never as open as he was single covered as he was playing with Steph. So of course a legendary talent like KD is gonna go off on a JR smith since lebron always switched off him. All because Steph drew all the attention. I will never forget a play where KD was coming down the middle on a fast break with Steph and Klay on the wing. It was 3 on 2. The 2 players ran directly to Steph and Klay hugging them at the 3pt line and let KD have the easiest wide open dunk of his life. All because the attention they drew. So KD in my eyes has subpar rings and definitely questionable final’s MVPs.

2:45 It's amazing that when Shannon wants to reference a player that no one compares to, he uses Michael Jordan. On a subconscious level, he knows MJ is the real goat.

I think he legit thinks MJ is the GOAT. He just has to take the Lebron position for the show/ratings.

I think it's because when you think about the "greatest whatever" it's usually the one of the overall greats. For example, the greatest scorer is MJ by average, Wilt by peak, and Kareem by total. The greatest defender, could be Russel, could be Hakeem, could be Duncan (more debatable title). Best passer, it's Magic. Most well-rounded at everything, probably LeBron. These are all tippy-top tier players in history. Before Steph, and I mean no disrespect to Ray Allen or Reggie, but those guys aren't top 30 or 40 all time. But Steph is not just the greatest 3pt shooter, and it's not just by a large margin, but he is pretty unanimously also a top 15 *overall all-time* player. Depending on Wilt and Bill, he sorta hovers around the 9-14 position in most people's lists. So to me it felt less so Steph breaks the record cause he obviously was going to, it felt like Steph cementing his legacy as one of the absolute greatest.
@superdopehiphop3 жыл бұрын
Love Steph but today I can’t have him Top10 all time. I can’t put him ahead of MJ LeBron Kareem Larry Bird Magic Hakeem Shaq (For his 2000-2002 3 year finals 3 straight MVPs while 36, 16, 3 bpg on 60% shooting) Kobe (although it’s close but Kobe far better defender) Durant (as weak/soft as his leaving team that gagged 3-1 WCF to join 140-24 previous 2 years nearly b2b 🏆 already 2017 favored to win 🏆with Harrison Barnes instead of him in Vegas) as he’s more efficient, more ppg, more rbg, more bpg and more unstoppable (KD and Curry close though) Oscar Robertson (he averaged 30, 10, 10 his first 6 seasons on 48% shooting and first 10 seasons about 29, 10, 9) Jerry West (if “Mr Clutch” had the 3 he averages 33+ instead of 5th GOAT 27 ppg. He also averaged similar games apg/rbg as Steph but was a WAY better defender. Steals per game didn’t start until 73-74 in his final season, year 14 when he was on last legs and still averaged 2.6 spg! Most say he would of averaged 3-4 spg and have most steals ever hands down!) Wilt Chamberlain Bill Russell I personally can’t put him head of any of those 13 (at least yet). I prob have him 14th now but would need to analyze it more. I prefer guys who at their best were also all nba level defenders. Dr J not playing in NBA first 3-4 years hurt his totals also but he was GREAT two way player Dirk great in playoffs and his 2011 title run is arguably best ever sweeping favored 2 seed defending b2b champs with 2 HOF and good supporting Lakers, 3 future MVPs and favored OKC in WCF in 5, and favored Heat in 6! Dirk like Steph though also avg to below avg on defense (same with Nash and Malone). KG, Isiah Thomas (I may choose him over Steph as 2nd best PG ever. Nearly won 3 straight titles with MJ/Pippen Bulls, Bird’s & company Celtics and Showtime Lakers in late 80s!) Barkley, Malone, Drexler, Pippen, Kawhi, CP3, Wade, Stockton, have arguments for that 14-24 range also.
