Its hard to think of Steph as a point guard when he is the best shooting guard- heck, the best shooter- that has ever played. There are very, very few pure point guards in the NBA anymore. The Warriors will have Curry, Podz, Wiggins, Kuminga, Draymond- all bring the ball down and start the offense at different times. Chris Paul is still a point guard- but most teams don't have an identifiable point- the Warriors certainly don't. Steph doesn't run the offense out front very much of the time- he is mostly running off picks and receiving passes or taking a taller defender off the dribble. Podz and Draymond are the closet things the Warriors have to a point now that CP is out. But you would have to call Draymond a "point forward" if anything- and sometimes he's actually playing the 5 when he's running the offense from the top of the key.

No, KD doesn't want to be the teammate of someone great. KD (and I love him as a player- he always comes to play- every night) has to feel he's getting credit for how great he is. That's why he left the Warriors to begin with- Kerr said KD seemed less and less happy despite the Warriors' success. KD wants success , yes- but he doesn't want to be overshadowed by anyone. When a player has to advertise himself as "the GOAT"- as KD did a few weeks ago, they just don't understand part of makes greatness. MJ. Magic, Bird all talked plenty of smack- but they never, ever once said, "I should get more consideration as the GOAT"- they all had supreme confidence in themselves but the let others debate who was GOAT.

Amen. They didn't send 3, 4, 5, opponents to guard Micheal Jordan OR Kobe Bryant when they were just "crossing the logo", or just simply when the ball is in his hand. Also, please remember, Steph is the ONLY "superstar"in the history of the NBA who has EVER gotten treated so BADLY by the NBA refs. Steph can go ENTIRE games and get almost NONE or ZERO trips to the free throw line, AND Steph STILL ends the game with 25, 30,40 or more points. For 15 years NOW. His ENTIRE career, Adam Silver's refs have been giving Steph Curry the "shaft". No other NBA superstar can say that . NOT Jordan, NOT Kobe, and certainly NOT LeBron James. Podemski, Steph's young teammate just made that SAME point. SO to put in perspective*** Steph Curry is better than ANYONE who has ever played the game. BECAUSE, Steph play every game, surrounding by opponents on all sides, practically from the logo, he gets ZERO trips to the free throw line, and he STILL scores 30, 40, 50 points. This SHOULD be pointed out MORE often. Let's start doing it. Although, if the refs did give Steph the fouls he deserves, Steph would end every game with ALMOST a hundred points.

This is why you should always call a timeout Steve Kerr !
@dmichael1009 ай бұрын
Nothing is ever "always". The Warriors have had success many. many times over the years by NOT calling a timeout in that situation and not letting the defense get set. It often resulted in an easier shot than the one Step just had to make. With a veteran team- that has been in these situation together often, Kerr has said he prefers not to call time. He just had some rookies on the floor and this group is still jelling, so he called time this go round.
