Ohio is beautiful. I'm not sure what area you are moving to, but here are some things to do that I would say are popular: • Cedar Point Amusement Park (usually in the top 5 of Amusement parks) • Kings Island Amusement Park • Hocking Hills-beautiful cabins, trails, caves, horseback riding • Put-In-Bay Island (gotta take a ferry, best lobster bisque) also close to Cedar Point • Cuyahoga Falls National Park has a beautiful scenic train ride, does a Polar Express theme in Xmas season, and has beautiful trails. • Brandywine Ski Resort • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland From Cleveland area road trips: Chicago- 5hrs away NY/NJ- 6 to 7hrs Detroit- 2hrs Pennsylvania - depends what city 2-6hrs Tennessee- Gatlinburg 8hrs

I moved in October I mentioned this in another post but your showing the progress brought back memories. It took me a month to pack. The extra bedroom I used as my craft room. I had a heat press, hat press, 3 printers, and 4 shelves table just stuff every nook and cranny. That room alone had 40 boxes or more and I did it all alone. The kitchen and all the gadgets that I love. I said never again. I will hire someone to pack for me. It was so stressful, I'm praying you both are handling the packing well.

I feel like Ohio does have a lot of stuff to offer. I will say it is definitely not going to have near the amount of stuff or options that you all are used to, though. It's definitely a slower paced place. I feel like if you guys want a more simple life, you will find it here. The cost of living is definitely cheaper. I will say just give it some time because it will definitely be an adjustment. 💜💛

Where in Ohio are you moving? I’m in Cincinnati. As for where you need to stay away, if you stick with the large urban areas (Toledo, Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati), you’ll be fine. The rural areas are a little different. Good Luck! I’d be happy to show you around if you are closer to SouthWest Ohio. Btw, our Tuesday Mornings down here all closed. I know because that was my late dear mother’s spot! Oh, and go to Kings Island when you come down this way. Have Nate and Blove take you. 💕

I’m from Ohio, what part of Ohio are you moving to. If it’s Columbus there are a lot of bars for you to go to on high street. The funny bone at Easton is a nice comedy club. There are targets everywhere and there are Whole Foods stores. Columbus is A great city with lots of things to do. Good luck on your new journey!!!

There’s so much you guys can do. I live in Columbus. There’s the funny bone comedy club, high street is a vibe on the weekends. Lots of gay bars and just fun places on high street (axis night club is a gay club that has drag shows) There’s scene 75, chuckie cheese, Dave n busters, hiking there’s hocking hills, old man’s cave. Restaurants- try KPOT Korean bbq, The Eagle on high street, there’s so many places on high street you can eat at. Theres also budd dairy food hall and short north food hall. There’s also Easton Town center and Polaris Mall. Lots of festivals in the summer and the Ohio state fair. There’s the zoo and zoombeezie bay which is a water park and they have an adult pool with a bar. Yes there’s thousands of targets and home goods lol. If I think of anything else you can do I’ll comment again.

Come to KY!! An hour and a half away. Derby is so much fun. Thunder over Louisville is too. Lots of good restaurants and shopping. Plus we are close to spots like Gatlinburg TN (4-5 hours)---so romantic and fun!!! Let us know!!

My daughter, grandson, granddaughter, and new great grandson live in Columbus. There's quite a few activities for you to do in Columbus. We go to quite a few at the fairgrounds, red, white and boom on 4th of July and attend jazz nights. We are always trying new restaurants and food trucks when I go to visit. i was born in ohio and i was raised in louisville. to me, i don’t know what everyone else thinks, but i don’t think the derby is worth it. it gets hyped up to everyone out of state like its the most fabulous thing but honestly its just a way for them to make money. the coolest things about derby are probably the events that come the weeks before the actual derby day. like thunder over louisville and the parades. there are SO many fun things to do here though!!
