The other way around. Her daughters never were there for Stephanie. Kristen and Felicia were selfish brats and never cared for Stephanie. Stephanie could never rely or depend on them. And the most of the series Kristen and felicia lived far away. Stephanie tried for years to be friends with them and went out of her way to have relationship with them, but it was always afelicia and Kristen that never cared or had time for Stephanie.

She didn't' really like Taylor. She only liked her b/c she could use her as a weapon against Brooke. When she was no longer able to use Taylor to keep Ridge (b/c he finally woke up to the manipulation of both women and how he had never really made any of his choices when it came to his love for Brooke) from Brooke she slapped her the same as she use to slap Brooke around. The both had the same agenda and it's why there werer so close.
