Amazing acting from these ladies! Stephanie’s facial reaction of disbelief to her mother admitting the truth is excellent!

Betty White was wonderful in this role. I could watch this anytime. This is how true actors act.

Actresses from 3 great T.V shows. Betty White (Ann) from THE GOLDEN GIRLS, Allison Mills (Pamela) from THE WONDER YEARS and Susan Flannery who originally played Jennifer's mother Laura Horton in DAYS before bagging this lead role in B& B

PrincessA Completely agree! These three are my favorites as well!

Dr. Laura Hirton was first Michael's mother- but Bill was his father and not her husband Mickey.

@innersweetness, at this time, Susan Flannery was in her mid-60s, and Betty White was in her mid-80s, so she could easily have been her mother.

Everybody has a chance to be a mother it's up to you to make the best of it nobody's going to be the perfect mother is no handbook and raising children you just do the best you can your motherly nature will kick in Stephanie is word courageous for letting her mother back in to her life is that was me I don't think I will be able to forgive my mother for hurting me and letting my father put bruises and welts all on me cuz kids are going to be kids and you have to let them grow up and learn from their own mistakes they have to learn just like we had to learn she missed 30 years with her daughter those precious years does she miss with with Stephanie never get back when your kids grow up and don't want nothing to do with you sometimes you have to take a look at yourself in the mirror and you have to make it right which our family and your kids if you wait too late you'll never get the chance to make it right and it'll be too late and it'll be nothing that you'll be able to do.

Susan Flannery isn't even 70 so her mother can totally be alive
@KentPetersonmoney5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's possible. My grandmother was passed 70 when her mother died. I imagine if a woman had a child at 16 and lived until 116 she could actually live long enough to see her child 100 birthday but of crouse living to 116 is like 1 in a billion.

Didn't Stephanie have a house maid to answer the door? I suppose Brooke and Sheila always barged their way in she was made redundant

30 years? Ridge had to be at least 50 by now, so he was 20 when his grandmother was cut out of his life, so it's not plausible that Ann didn't know her grandchildren. The writers should have said it had been 40 years, or more
@b-ryemendez83352 ай бұрын
Yeah they definitely messed up there because in 1989 Ridge was turning 30 and Stephanie mentioned how she and Eric were married 30 years when he left her for Broke.

As much as I feel sorry for Stephanie, this does not excuse all the horrible things she has done.
@notthefather39196 жыл бұрын
Who said she needs an excuse. It explains her personality and need for control. You must have never experienced childhood trauma because you don't even realize how it affects you as an adult.
@julieet524 жыл бұрын
Not an excuse as such but a reason for her anger. Thats half the battle to acknowledge why we have certain behaviours so we can try to change them. Stephanie falls back into old ways but eventually recognises this.
@debbiefelts56403 жыл бұрын
@@notthefather3919 I was molested by my father. I absolutely understand how the trauma effects you as an adult. It's still no excuse. Your childhood, regardless of how bad, does not determine your future.

It's too bad that Stephanie and her mother didn't have a good relationship or we would have seen more of her in a we would have seen more of her in The bold and the beautiful Betty White Played or Stephanie's mother and it's too bad the grandkids and the kids would have got to know their grandmother

Stephanie is an unforgiving bitter old shrew. If they needed a female Scrooge she'd be perfect for the role. She holds grudges and wonders why her children are so screwed up. All the energy she spent putting Brooker in her place she should have put into her marriage...
