Okay. So why are we picking this girl apart? If there’s such an issue here, just leave it alone. Who cares if she looks different on Instagram vs in real life. Most people do. And yes, if you want to look like her, you can not eat a lot. It’s not realistic at all, but it’s a choice that we are all entitled to make. Just like drinking alcohol or smoking…your body your choice, doesn’t mean it’s good for ya. Pick your battles.

I agree. She's making bad choices for herself, and I believe that's the point of this video: to show that no, that is not a good choice for many many reasons, just like smoking or using other drugs. But doesn't make her a bad person. She didn't create the diet mentality and probably suffers herself a lot with it. So what are we battleling here? Her? Or our own mentality about beauty and bodies and happiness...? 🤔

being 18 and 97lbs, i am a very small girl. with that being said, the amount i struggle with just my stomach alone is insane. i know i am VERY skinny, ive struggled with it my entire life, but with the mentality that i have, i view myself as NEEDING ! a completely flat stomach or i feel extremely disgusting about myself. from the age of 16, ive been keeping up with chloe and daisy and i have obsessed over their stomachs alone. i bloat and i have that little lower belly fat and my ribs stick out a lot, from what they put out, every time i see my stomach not posed and sucking in it makes me feel disgusting about myself. but seeing her go from posed to normal and seeing it resemble mine, i feel much healthier about myself. it helps me feel more normal. and i appreciate it more than anything

@@briuchiha7397 no I'm not defending this particular person. Nor am I defending anyone who believes this way. If I had a flat stomach in the middle of the day like before having food, i felt confident about the way I looked and I wanted to take a picture and just share it on social media, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. But advocating an ED Or glorifying it Or spreading the idea that only a certain type of body is perfect is wrong. That's what I meant to say. The thing about diet and fitness culture is that everyone's bodies are vastly different from their height, to their weight and even your very own DNA. Someone else's diet or fitness routine can possibly make you very ill because of these factors, it works for them but that doesn't mean it'll work for you. There's also the fact that some people aren't entirely transparent, they also heavily edit their pictures before sharing it on social media. Let's not forget it can also be mentally damaging, constantly comparing yourself to an unrealistic standard. Find a fitness routine that works for your body, find a healthy balanced diet that works for your body.

When she was making her smoothie video, you could see her waist, and it wasn’t as tiny as her photos. I’m confused why she doctors her photos but then shows her real waist in her videos? I don’t understand why people follow these types of people. But, I’m also in my mid 40s, and I mostly just don’t care about worldly things anymore (so freeing!). Stephanie, you are such a hero for bringing women back to reality and helping them to not compare themselves or be “influenced” by these influencers who are sadly very bad role models. Much love to you! ❤️

She certainly does not, daisy is definitely fit and skinny but that does NOT mean she doesn’t photoshop the hell out of her photos. If you have ever watched videos of her on her channel you can see her waist is not the same as it appears on instagram. Also, it’s not hard to tell when a waist is altered to look a size that in unrealistic lol.

TRIGGER WARNING: When I had a very serious ED I ate almost the same amount as her and sometimes less. I would restrict myself everyday. One piece of toast seemed too much, a whole banana seemed too much, as small snack seemed too much. I knew I had a problem but kept lying to myself. If I had seen her videos when I had a horrible ED it would have fed that lie. I would have believed I didn’t actually have a problem. I would not have gotten help. Her videos are so SO SOOOO harmful. i hope u got over it. I can relate to this so much! until a few months ago i also always restricted myself. Sometimes forgot to eat for 3 days straight and was always scared to gain weight because i got told since i was little that i am chubby. Especially my father fed my insecurities cause he always told me when i gained a bit of weight telling me to eat less sweets and always talking about women and that they have to be small and petite so obv. if u hear that since u are small u will internalise it. I am now 21 and i still suffer from my horrible relationship to food and my fucked up body image. idk how it was in ur case ( i am sorry i am kinda trauma dumping rn i hope thats ok) but i didnt feel lovable and still struggle with acknowledging that my worth does not get defined by my body count or looks in general. I eat better now tho. thanks to my really supportive bf who made sure i ate at least one meal per day when he noticed how bad it was and now i am at a point where i actually get hungry again and also snack and even gained weight. sometimes i think a little too much but then i think to myself that when i was skinny i also wasnt happy so rather eat and work on selfconfident rather than not eat and still hate myself. I hope u have a good support system as well and are doing better too! 🥰

Look up the Mifflin-St Jeor formula! It tells you fairly accurately how many calories you should eat to maintain a certain weight. That could be your current weight, or a goal weight. Obviously make sure you feel healthy. Daisy Keech doesn't look unhealthy to me, but she definitely doesn't look like someone who only eats a slice of toast and a small smoothie every day. Unless that smoothie has some hidden calorie weight gainer powder that she's not talking about. Or she snacks. I'd be very skeptical that she's only eating toast and smoothie for breakfast and lunch. I'd be skeptical of any influencer. Just disregard their "diets." I'm thin, and I eat waayyyy more than these girls do. There's just no way their diets are real.

The things I did to lose weight while maintaining a healthy eating habit was just eating less fried/greasy food, minimalize rice consumption, and avoid manufactured snacks, sugary soda drinks, and junkfood altogether. I'm a picky eater and I hate vegetables but I try to eat some every chance I get. I replaced snacks with fruits and whenever I have cravings, I would drink water until I feel full. I did all this without working out and lost weight (the results really shows in 6 months), I still allow myself to eat whatever I want (in moderation), no suffering needed. Although at some point I did exercise to help myself get fit because I'm a student who sits on the chair all day. But it helped me improving my mood, my mental health, my stamina and strength, I became happier and more confident in general! It felt great and I hope others can feel that too ^^

I honestly really needed this video at this exact time lol, I have been on social media a bit more than I typically am and consuming a lot more “influencer” type content and I have been really stressed that I am now 117 pounds and I don’t have as small as a stomach as I used to and that I no longer can really fit into some of my clothing :’) I have been comparing myself so badly and trying to eat less throughout my day but I need to realize that social media is not real lol.

I know it might sound crazy, but get rid of the scale for a while. Don't weigh yourself every day, or even every week. I don't weight myself 5 days before my period or during my period. I can swing 8-12 lbs from the week before to the week after, it is mostly all water weight and mostly in the stomach area. Just worry about how your clothing fits, if it is getting a little tight, then worry about eating a little less. Make sure your meals are balanced, I eat 2500(or more) calories a day, but I only about 20-25% of that is carbs, the rest is protein, healthy fats and fruits/veggies. I do use an app to keep track, but only to make sure that I eat enough and I get enough macro nutrients in my diet. I waisted all my middle school and HS days(11 to 17) focusing on what the scale said, starving myself and stressing to fit into a size 0/2. Spoiler alert: my body was not meant to be that small, I am naturally muscular and larger chested/hips/tights. A size 4/6 on me is small. I stay a 6/8 now that I'm in my mid 30s and have had a child, and I'm not starting and miserable all the time. I'm sure it isn't easy growing up in the Instagram/tik tok world now, but judt remember that your body has to last you for a long time, so be good to it. I messed my teeth up btwn not eating properly and then getting cancer at 19. I've spent the last 5 years having teeth removed, root canaled, crowned, filled and now I'm looking into getting partial dentures until I hsve to hsve them all removed and have implants(which will coat about $20k). No one told me about all the horrible long term effects of starving yourself. I hope you doend a little time and look into the long term effects, and see that it isn't worth it. The inky thing that got me to stop was meeting other girls who had completely ruined their bodies permanently. An ED took up so much of my life and time that I wish I coukd get bsck. I don't hsve any pictures of myself from 14 to 20 and my mother only has a few, because I though I was so fat I couldn't stand to have them taken. Not even prom or senior pics! I got some head shots done for my mom but that was it. I'm not trying to scare you, just trying to have you see a little bit of the other side. I don't know you, but I know I want you to be happy with you. I wish you the best in life! I hope everyday is a good day, full of happiness! Too many people are unhappy and it makes the world a darker, sadder, scarier place. I hope you can be one of the people who try to be happy everyday. I try everyday, I don't always succeed, but I try my best.

As a young mom I overwork myself and get so distracted everyday and never really eat and I feel awful for it. I am always so focused on feeding my kid or my animals , cleaning and everything that doesn’t involve me. I am trying still but I noticed I’m starting to lose a lot of weight. Not in a good way. As a teen I use to look for influencers who were like daisy. My name is daisy lol but I have no idea who she is. It’s unhealthy and terrible to show a young audience or audience of anyone it will get then into the wrong mindset. People need a lot of food during the day . I will eventually get back on track with eating I hope. Anyways thank you for these videos!!

Sometimes I only ate one meal a day, just because I wanted to look like all these Influencers. The only thing I got from doing so was an ED. So please guys eat enough! Do not restrict yourselfs. What to eat for a small waist? She should’ve just been honest and said “how to starve yourself so that you have less fat on your belly”. Honey, that’s not anything new. I honestly question if people really eat what they post in those video anyway. I feel some of it is made up for KZbin. Thank you for talking about these things, young girls and women need to realize none of these lifestyles are normal or attainable for everyday life. Heck, most of what these folks post online is not what they truly do/live, day in and day out. It’s fake.

Thanks for addressing that! Diets like hers, videos like hers leaded to a heavy eating disorder in my case. I suffered from orthorexia for 8 years. I think a lot of women have a problematic relationship with food or are orthorexic (e.g counting calories, having many „rules“, no sugar, no carbs, afraid of carbs) without realising it, because they think it’s just „healthy“. I did that for a very long time till it was so crazy that I needed therapy. And let me tell you: EVEN though I ate almost only fruits and vegetables, I NEVER looked like I wanted to look, never had „that body“. Now I know that my whole body isn’t meant to be that way, I’ll never have a tiny waist, my body structure is just different. And It’s ok, I don’t suffer from ED anymore and I learned how to eat pasta again (Without freaking out)and I am happy and I accept my body and ironically I look very similar to what I looked like when I was on a Diet.
