For those bothered by my sunscreen comments - Everyone should use what they're comfortable using. I personally can't use most chemical sunscreens because of skin sensitivities. When saying some people can't tolerate chemical sunscreens and don't want to wear them because they're "absorbed into the body and can be hormone disruptors when used long term," I was referencing comments people have left me as to why they don't personally use them. Yes, there is new data and I should have said that sunscreens have been linked to it "in the past" instead. Please remember this is a foundation review, not a skincare lesson. I'm not perfect and don't always word things perfectly every time. Sorry about that.

I have dry skin and the NARS one is my favourite foundation. My skin never feels dry with it, and y skin tends to get dry with a lot of foundations. I found it to be light-medium coverage, it looked better than most of my full on foundations on my skin

I avoided drugstore foundation products for years. I've been shocked Revlon has been outdoing high end products lately for me. Their Light Cover is incredible, feels like no makeup and lasts all day, and for a bit heavier coverage, the Candid Photoready has been very good.

I appreciate knowing when a foundation has a chemical spf ingredient in there. I get a red itchy rash from a lot of the chemical spf. The mineral is always fine. I’ve found out the hard way that some foundations don’t always say SPF on the label and it’s hidden in the fine print which isn’t always listed when buying online.

Sunscreen studies were just published that noted that chemical and physical sunscreens are both absorbed into the skin pretty equally (Shereene Idriss mentioned this fact in her video on Gwynneth Paltrow). I love Chantecaille Future Skin foundation but I do get a tad dry in my dry areas so you may really enjoy it Stephanie. I’ve been using the shade Vanilla for Chantecaille color products. I’m usually in the same shades you choose. Please let us know how the shade Nude was for you. Thanks!

Just a note it's Oxybenzone that's been cited (about hormone disrupter scare) in a study where rats were fed the chemical. According to Harvard Med (May 2021) a human would have to use the chemical daily for 227 yrs to obtain that level of exposure. I've been in the weeds about sunscreen research since no sunscreens in recent studies (esp mineral) blocked UVA, UVB rays and provided anywhere near SPF claimed (start w Consumer Reports 2021) Ugh. While FDA studies it all, docs say we should def wear it since we KNOW it prevents skin cancer (and most of our aging issues😃). I'm a science fan, so wanted to share. Thanks for all your work on this roundup!

I use the Wunder2 powder foundation. I'm 66 with dry to normal skin. I love it! I do use a primer under it. I also use it as a powder if I'm wearing a tinted moisturizer using a light hand. When I use a sponge to apply, I get a smoother look without the dusty kick up in the pan. I use a brush if I'm using it over the tinted moisturizer. Comparing this with the BareMineral Pro Powder foundation & the Bobbi Brown, well for me, I like it much much better.

Stephanie, I’ve watched a few of your videos before. I’ve decided to subscribe to your channel after watching other popular channels because I really LOVE the way you describe each product without talking so much about other things besides the makeup product. I feel that you give all the info needed in order to buy the product or not. I feel you are very truthful. I LOVE that you look at the camera instead of looking around or looking at something else! I feel you are talking directly to me. Thank you for that & the fact that you describe exactly how the product works for you! I have dry mature skin & really appreciate that you tell us how each product will work for different skin types! Very helpful! I LOVE your sweet personality & how you don’t have the personality like other KZbinrs that brag too much about themselves & think that we want to see the outfit they are wearing every single day & hear about their husband every single day & etc. Maybe some ppl want to hear all that bragging every single day about every single thing they do but I’m one that don’t .😂😂😂 It’s nice to hear about family but not in every single video!😂😂😂 I won’t mention the KZbinr’s name, but this KZbinr makes everything about herself every single video that it’s annoying. Can’t watch her videos anymore even when they are about a product I want to know about. So happy that I found your video today & decided to subscribe! I think you are “great” & your immediate KZbin friends are as well such as “Lisa J” , “Risa does makeup”, & I can’t leave “Hot & Flashy” & “Dominique Sachse”!! LOVE LOVE these ladies!! Always great informative info! Always learn something from all of you ladies!! Thank you Stephanie! You are wonderful & beautiful as well! Looking forward to watching all your future informative videos in the future!! I’m sorry my comment was so long & I had to rant a little about the mature KZbinr that thinks she’s a goddess!😂😂😂 Hope you have a great week!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

That new Huda foundation sat on my vanity for weeks because I was afraid to try it, I like more skin like foundations, not heavy full coverage ones. I finally tried it and dotted it all over my face like I do with every foundation...I started blending with the sponge and omg, I had to work FAST! It certainly does grip to your face. But, overall it was nice if you like full coverage foundations.

Stephanie, the Chantecaille Future Skin foundation is fantastic for oily/combo skin. It is a water-based, gel foundation and is beautiful. It is a light coverage, but can be built up. I actually put this down first, because it wears really well, and put a bit of the cushion on top because it blurs so nicely. The 2 together are gorgeous. I have mature, combo skin, and also live in a humid environment (Florida). And, their powder foundation is fantastic. You should watch Mandy Davis's powder foundation review on this. It came out #1. I am like you I am very oily in the tea zone but my under eyes are super dry so I’m constantly looking for the right concealer and also do have dark circles. I just love your channel any feedback you can give any of us on this beauty blender or concealer would be appreciated. I have tried to cover girl and I do like it but not so much with wearing a mask are usually just wear it at the house. My holy grail foundation is double wear by Estee Lauder thank you for all of your advice!

Licensed Esthetician here: For those commenting about the sunscreen issue, the biggest difference is the way they handle the UVA/UVB rays. Chemical sunscreens absorb the rays, whereas mineral sunscreens bounce the rays off of the surface of the skin. Both work, and you should make the best choice for you, as long as you wear it. Also note, that sunscreen in your foundation isn’t enough protection for your skin, and you should be using a separate sunscreen with at least a 30 spf, and that works best for your skin type.

I used the new cg twice with strivectin blurring primer but its very cakey. Im dumbfounded...I love and have many cg foundations and love them all but going to try without primer or another one to see if it is better..

Hi Stephanie I’m new to your channel, thanks for the great review. Im 52 and have lots of fine lines under my eyes is there a foundation that would not settle in those lines? 💞

Hi! I recommend not taking your foundation under your eyes at all. The less layers the better...stop it just under that area and blend your concealer down - it looks and wears so much better! Thanks for being here! 🥰

So I bought dior foundation and primer. The foundation slid down my face. It looked like I was melting. I have sensitive skin so I use the bare minimum. It felt so gross. I just tried to wash it off . I thought I got it all. Washed twice and an hour later my forehead was itchy so I looked in my little compact mirror . It is still on my face . I can't get it off. Would not recommend. But it looks beautiful on you. Wish it worked for me.

@@donnaengel6413 Very well said. Sasha's comment was absurd and very immature. They all recommend each other's channels constantly, supporting and encouraging each other with no middle school behavior like that. Name calling and telling someone's viewer what to comment....now that is tacky and desperate, and quite inappropriate on someone's channel.

Hello, I bought that foundation on Risa ´s suggestion, and yes, like you two, I love the finish also, but I hate the smell, it reminds me of cheap cosmetics products of the 70´s... don’t you agree ? Carol, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada
