Everything I've ever learned so far about guns, I've learned through ASP. I'm warming up to the idea of gun ownership. Romancing it. 😂 Not so easy to acquire in Canada. Much to learn. It's a lot to process. I'm working on convincing my wife to get her own. Something to consider is this: the Canadian government has severely restricted your right to self-defense right? But, can you hold them responsible if you're ever a victim of violent crime? No. Your personal safety is YOUR responsibility, that's the government's position. Yet they get to tell you what you can and can't use to defend your very life. It's the same here in the U.S., which is why I carry.

@@bassblaster162 Sobering truths. How depressing is that? Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Back in 1998 I was living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I was hit by a car on my lunch break. It was backing out of a parking spot and he took off. Hit & Run. The victims Association or whatever you want to call it,... a joke of Association sent me a $76 cheque, "Victim Services" compensation. I didn't think much of it at the time. I can probably say for certain that it hasn't gotten any better. What you've pointed out is really resonating with me. Gratitude, for taking the time to respond.
