O variantă cu totul deosebită a acestei arii!... Am ascultat recent mai multe variante: Callas, Dominguez, Cosotto, Baltsa, Troyanos, Zajic, Obrazțova și altele.... Dar niciuna nu m-a impresionat așa ca Elena Cernei: a avut ceva care mergea direct, acolo în suflet, la acea coardă care trebuia atinsă.... Doamne, odihnește-o-n pace și-o așază între îngerii Tăi!

Listen to a completely special rendition of this aria! ... I recently listened to several others: Callas, Dominguez, Cosotto, Baltsa, Troyanos, Zajic, Obraztsova and others .... but none impressed me like Elena Cernei: she had something that went directly, there, in the soul, to that particular string that had to be touched .... Oh God, rest her soul in peace and place her among your angels!
