I'm a former model, & Stephan tells no lies. Men will chase & leave after or they'll stay, be toxic & stalk. Just have honest communication, everything else is a game, & in games 1 person has to lose. Appearance doesnt matter either, you could be his ideal, & if he's not mentally, or spiritually ready, nothing else matters.

My partner started pursuing me from day one. I wasn't looking for a relationship. I offered him friendship, he wanted more. His consistency opened my mind to the possibility of being with him. I let him know how I felt about him and sat back and allowed him to lead the relationship. He matches my energy and I match his.

When GOD is your top priority, (no not Jesus but GOD), He will bless you because He knows your deepest desires and wishes. Just know GOD comes first before ANYONE, He created us, not Jesus. Chasing equates with running away from something and avoidance of self power. The one running away needs to be let go of. Being present and being open to love requires being open to vulnerability, self awareness, self growth and self love. Often that comes with age, experience and wisdom. Live your truth, heal your abandonment issues and let men off the hot seat. We as women must do our own work and heal ourselves which will result in being open to healthy love and connections.🥰

I think what had me not accept just a chase is because I've experienced real, genuine pursuit before that greatly synchronized with my interest in him. I didn't know what to do with it (But that's another Life lesson to go over at another time 😂), but I knew how our matched chemistry made me feel alive as a Woman. Now in no way am I comparing future pursuits with my past; however I use how he made me feel as a study guide/checklist : Do I feel butterflies? Do I find myself thinking about him sometimes throughout the day? Does he make me smile (Even when he's not trying to)? How does he looks at me when he thinks I'm not noticing? Am I dreaming about him?... and trust me, the list can go on and on. Bottom line: If a Man that's chasing me doesn't make me feel ANY of the above things I've just mentioned...And he could be chasing me for years (Which one recently did and found out that I could still care less 😂)--NO DEAL!!! Here's to hoping that all of our future pursuits/romance make up for all the wrong ones we came across. #StayEncouragedLadies

You should let him come to you. Show your interest and be feminine, if he stares at you, smile while maintaining your eye contact. You just need to remain receptive in your energy (behavior) and be confident as a woman. He WILL come to you, he will start to embrace your femininity and maybe hold the door for you, be graceful and say thank you. Don’t help him, don’t suggest a date or your number and absolutely, don’t play hard to get. Exist and focus on your well being and your softness and how you show up. Never give a man anything he hasn’t asked for, he will resent you at some point for this.

Ladies. I beg you to please stop reacting sensitively to the weight issue. The sensitive reaction is an unwillingness to work on improving the way we look. Why? BECAUSE , IT IS HARD WORK!! The reality is when we don't have a deep desire to look good and stay in shape, outside of physical disabilities, is that we do not value ourselves enough and have self-love. Love is a God-thing. Draw closer to God through reading his Word. In God is ALL we need. GOD through his Word will teach us to love and take care of ourselves. Also, we will in turn learn to love sufficiently (without fear)enough to recognize, enter, and maintain a relationship with the right Godly man. Much Love ladies. Thank You Stephan for all you do for us. You have helped me greatly. MUCH GRATITUDE!

I've always been a bit confused in defining or recognizing what is actually a reciprocated effort in relationship... and what is confusing breadcrumbing for effort... Then I go back an fort into extremes of giving too much - or thinking that I am giving too much, and in receiving breadcrumbs - or thinking that I am not thankful enough... Where is this healthy golden line of reciprocity?! 😪

Bonjour Stephan! I’ve been watching your content since you started on KZbin. I wasn’t ready to date yet, because it was too painful for me, so I only searched content like yours and Kev Hicks etc, because I wanted the black males perspective and to be educational correctly - little by little at my own pace. I just subscribed today after revisiting the idea of dating. I believe this video just set me free. I’m ready. Thank you so much. God bless you.

Fun fact- Many spider species have something called nuptial gifts. It's were a male spider gives the female spider a gift wrapped up in silk (the web material). The material inside is either ant parts or other insect parts, flower bits, or sometimes nothing. Some males try to fake a gift. The female spider will let the man come to her to mate while she opens the gift. When she sees the nuptial gift and does not accept it, she will stop and leave, not letting the male keep mating. Sometimes she will kill the male. Some males have found a way to hold the female and keep holding on to her even when she tries to move away.

Its crazy how the current dating scene got to this point. The good women used to be in a great position. Now they listened to some bad dating advice somebody gave em all. I'm Still tryna figure out who told them these crazy things to make them change and felt that they need to play games, pull back and all that stuff. And on top of that...social media. They got jealous of the thots on social getting attention...so they was so jealous of that attention that they starting losing themselves. And they actually thought they were doing a good thing too. They were already good...but felt they needed to fall back more or play games and stuff. The problem is...the players and manwhores and stuff are the ones giving these other thots attention...and the good women see that and tryna get their attention. So when they encounter some good men who just want to get to know them normally and not playing games...they feel they gotta play these games with us. And it just turns us off. SMH! So yeah, imo...thats what happened unfortunately. Hopefully these ladies wake up and get back to how they was before. But idk. That wanting attention thing may still be there. And since social media isn't going anywhere, idk if they will fully get back to how they originally was per se. But hopefully they can still wake up. We will see.

Another great video! I think people have gotten this 'chase' and men are the hunters misconstrued. I would never chase a man in the sense that today's women do putting it all out there for the man and even proposing to a man. I'm traditional and tend to stick with traditional values that are in alignment with the way God wired men and women. It still stands even today that for most men there's no sense in buying the cow when the milk is free. My personal values are that women should never chase, but allowing a man to pursue you first and chase doesn't mean you leave him hanging with no reciprocity. That's stupid and what's the purpose? We have our womanly ways of showing interest so if a woman ia not reciprocating (not by giving up the goods or chasing him hunting him down) she's simply not interested. It's very arrogant and rude and selfish to make a man put all of his energy into you without reciprocating in some way to let him know you're into him. A relationship is not a one-way street. You have to flirt to show him you're interested once he's pursued. The conversation flows in a positive direction and you continue to give him a significant amount of energy but, not all of your energy because you still have to protect your heart until he's proven himself...as in proven himself not to be one who is just after the conquer and on to the next. That's where women get it wrong. They go all in giving up the goods, wearing their heart on their sleeves to be trampled on without going through the process of allowing enough time to pass to ensure that he's properly invested in you and not just after the "conquer" and chase" that feeds the ego that is spoken about in this video. On the spiritual side of things God also puts His children through tests to see if we are truly pursuing Him and truly want a relationship with Him and not just in it for the things we can get from Him. We should also test a man's motives..that's really the purpose of the "chase". It's just wise to do so because not every motive (a man's interest) is good and pure.

This is a struggle. Like, I have heard this many times, as well, to let a man chase you, but it does come off like a game, to me, as if I'm a prize to be won, but I'm not a prize, and I don't mean that in a negative way, but a realistic way. With your game analogy, once you win a prize, it goes on your shelf and you go off to find another challenge/game, why would I want that to be a situation I'm in? If I like a guy, I don't want to act like I'm not interested when I am or that whole "he didn't text me for five hours, so I'm about to make him wait 8 hours before I text back" stuff. I want it to feel natural and be open with my feelings, both of us feeding into each other. I don't want anyone to chase anyone; I want us both wanting to be there and liking each other clearly, both putting in the effort we can. No guessing, no games. I've found honest communication helps this issue, but it's uncommon to find someone I like, who also likes me, and who actually communicates their feelings, good or bad, to me. Too often, I'm trying to be real, but the other person falls into game mode and then I'm turned off. Because I don't want to have to chase someone, like I'm sure they don't want to have to chase me. Plus, some guys are a little too careful because they're worried about coming on too strong, so I feel like being open and honest about how I feel gives them a greenlight and more comfort, as well, rather than me trying to do that hard to get stuff and them having to guess or getting frustrated because they can't "figure me out". I want a partnership, not one of us thinking we're a prize or something. I know that kind of goes against a lot, but if he's putting in the level of effort to meet my needs, I'll put in mine to meet his, and we can grow. That's all I need. But I'm also going to add this because it's been my experience. The guy who drops everything to be with you, all the time, and seemingly has no life, he can text, call, come over, etc, at any time, tends to be more... obsessed, if that makes sense. Meaning, his priorities are often off. He also tends to expect the same from you, so if you make plans with a friend and he calls you up, he will be upset if you choose hanging out with your friends instead. However, a guy who makes time for you, while still having his own life, meaning he will say no to you, sometimes, or not be able to call//text/come over all the time... his priorities just seem more healthy. Because he knows how to exist without to you being there and can accept you having a life, as well, so you don't become his EVERYTHING. It's just always worked out well for me with the second type of man. And it doesn't mean he doesn't put in any effort, but it's a healthy amount, I guess. You still know he's into you, you don't need to question it, but it's not overboard.

Am sure it goes both ways. If a woman allows a person in her life without much resistence, or consideration she can get played. Similarly if a man allow a woman in their life without much resistance or consideration, he may also get played. As they say "easy come easy goes". Dating is either russian roulett or a mexican standoff. Lol. Scary.

I take their advice and hold myself but when I do I find out am not myself and I become anxious because what I wanted doing I couldn't. But when I do what my mind tells me to do I find PEACE. and when I feel like calling I don't but I really want to. But at the end of the day I tell myself to do me only 1 thing I get scared of is to get hurt. But I show the guy I like that I care. So its up to him. Great talk! Yes I gave been conditioned with a man giving me consistent attention. I am guilty if judging one from the other based on availability. I love the metaphor if the reward if conquering a game then moving onto the next. My concern is men are good at falsifying their love or feelings to get into the panties. He does all the right things just to get the reward. Its so hard to determine whose real or not these days. Lately the last 4 attempts, it starts off so well. We are compatible, have many things in common, then after 2-3 months all 4 tells me they aren't ready for a relationship and I deserve better. Thus definitely weighs on my confidence or leaves me confused on Chatham I doing wrong??? Because it seems so right.
