Wilt led the league in scoring 7 times, while Shaq did it twice. Wilt led the league in rebounding 11 times, while Shaq never led the league in rebounding. Wilt's best scoring season was 50.4 ppg, while Shaq's best scoring season was 29.4 ppg. Wilt led the league in assists for one season, which Shaq never did. Hakeem had the best footwork to me. Knicks fan here but no shame to admit who the best centers was in the 1990's. I'll even say this. If the Bulls got to the finals in 1995 (They lost in second round to Orlando of course) I think with confidence to say Jordan would have an L on his finals record. That's how insane Hakeem was that playoff run. A Bulls team with a rusty MJ, no Horace Grant (Orlando) and no Rodman yet until following season and it would of been lights out. During his time, there was no one like Wilt. During his time, there was no one like Shaq. The only knock on Shaq was that he wasn't in good shape most of the time. Probably cost him two more rings.

So many people disrespecting Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain. People always use false logics and narratives to pit against those 2 players eventhough they epitomized what greatness was all about. You can praise your favorite players without disrespecting the others throughout nba history. If Jordan, Kareem, Dr. J, Oscar, Jerry West, Magic, Bird, Kobe, and KG, etc, all held the highest regards for Bill and Wilt as basketball players, who are we all to disagree?

Patrick Ewing is my favorite all-time player with that said its Kareem and his overall approach to the game second is wilt Chamberlain and the fact the league changed the rules to ensure he couldn't dominate. And to wilt credit he didn't want to just use power he actually wanted to showcase other skills which he says himself. And third its hakeem olajuwon . after losing to my boy in the NCAA finals olajuwon outside of Kareem was the one you had to prepare for because he has the footwork of a guard with a power foward build and was a terror on defense. Shaq won four titles and was dominant but if I am starting a team using a big man its hard to look over there and see olajuwon and say I'm gonna choose dominant over work ethics period . and if shaq didn't win four titles I wouldn't have him ahead of David Robinson because of skill sets

Kareem, Wilt, , Dream, Shaq, Russell...in that order at THAT position. All time regardless of position: Jordan, Lebron, Kareem, Magic, Duncan, Kobe, Bird, Wilt, Dream, Shaq.

As good as shaq was, he only won when they changed the rules for him and let him bull ppl over. Up until that point he was getting swept and outclassed by other big men. He also had loaded lakers teams along with probably the second best player ever.
