@UC2NPk18yHQ8VyplS4Y3uGYA Trash talking is fine. But what Connor did was way more than that. If you're the kind who don't mind people insulting your family and your code of ethics, that's you. I'm not going to judge you and say it's because you're weak willed. There's something called "verbal abuse" afterall and you face consequences. "freedom of speech" is highly misunderstood. But anyway, in this case, shit got really personal. Connor even attacked a bus and caused damages to non-involved parties. That's not trash talking. That's PERSONAL. Connor went way overboard and people are now saying that he did go overboard this time because he really felt threatened. I have a relatively very thick skin compared to the average man, but if you say shit about my personal core beliefs and insult very close people to me, I'll make sure you eat your words, in a painful way. You stand up to what you believe in. Otherwise you don't really believe in what you think you believe in.

NO. Someone had to hit the brakes at Conor's, Dana's and the media's efforts to degrade this sport into a cheap disgusting theatre where the meaning of words is reduced only to the amount of money those three can make out of them (and if you don’t agree with it you “don’t get it”). This sport is about fighting and words have meaning beyond selling PPVs, whisky and podcasts and you can be asked to answer for yours. Not a novel idea and not an unreasonable one. And no, publicly calling someone's dad you have never met "backwards c*nt", "smelly terrorist rat", "quivering coward" just to make money off it is neither "freedom of speech" nor "a stroke of genius", it never was. And Khabib just made us all think about it.

And none of the other mainstream sports will condone such behavior and thats why they stay relevant and mainstream.
@RubenRabitt6 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Khabib was the messenger. The complete antithesis to what Conor represents. Every one of us has that, and Conor met his. He fought for something bigger than money and ego that's why he won. That's why he's the eagle because he soars above the lower level materialism that is people like Conor lizard personality. He changed MMA culture with Saturday's mauling, and I hope it is forever for the better. That Conor cult of personality got too big because of all that fake hype and push by the UFC that it crescendoed into Conor tapping and the riot afterwards becoming the climax of Conor's downfall. It needed the other end of the spectrum to do this. It was perfect. That's why the vibes going into this fight were ominous from the get go, Khabib was no longer himself in there. He was merely the catalyst doing the work of the higher beings to end what has been a nightmare for MMA culture.

You are absolutely wrong. Hate-speech is in fact protected under the 1st Amendment of the constitution. As a matter of fact, the supreme court in 2017 upheld again in Matal v. Tam that hate speech is still considered protected freedom of expression. I find it despicable to insult someone in the way Connor frequently does. However, it is illegal to physically assault someone just because they uttered racially or religiously insensitive comments. These are just simply facts.
@satti806 жыл бұрын
Zachary Strugeon .. You still don’t talk about someone’s dad or mom, religion, country and culture. You know you can get sued for defamation as well. Then there is plain crazy which is what Conor is doing, talking shit about everyone as if they are nothing. And I don’t think you can jump on airplane or in an airport and shout BOMB then Claim freedom of speech, you will get tackled and assaulted by the police before you finish the word. And you will create chaos. So yeah, some words are sensitive and freedom of speech isn’t completely free like that. There are lines and sensitive words every where you go in the world. Things you say matter. And words have weight.

The UFC let all that go basically and went as far as to use it to promote the fight, White is a scumbag promoter who will just brush off any responsibilty..because thats what a promotor does, but most of this is his fault for not understanding the context and the guys involved.

Khabib was the messenger. The complete antithesis to what Conor represents. Every one of us has that, and Conor met his. He fought for something bigger than money and ego that's why he won. That's why he's the eagle because he soars above the lower level materialism and consciousness that is people like Conor's lizard personality. A spoiled brat man child who cares about nothing but himself. An otherwise humble, highly disciplined respectful man. It was perfect. That's why the vibes going into this fight were ominous from the get go, Khabib was no longer himself in there. He was merely the catalyst doing the work of the higher beings to end what has been a nightmare for MMA culture. "Those who exalt themselves shall be humbled, and those who are humble shall be exalted."

I understand why he did it and I would have done the same. We're encouraged to control our anger, in Islam, and that's a huge priority. I love Khabib to death and I forgive him for what he did. If that guy he jumped at said something about his father or wife or religion, I'd probably do the same, despite the fact that we're not supposed to. Here are some *Hadiths* about anger in Islam: _The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The strong man is not the one who can overpower others (in wrestling); rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself when he gets angry." (Reported by Ahmad, 2/236; the hadeeth is agreed upon)._ _The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If any of you becomes angry, let him keep silent." (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, al-Musnad, 1/329; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 693, 4027)._ _"Whoever controls his anger at the time when he has the means to act upon it, Allaah will fill his heart with contentment on the Day of Resurrection." (Reported by al-Tabaraani, 12/453, see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6518)._ _It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Advise me.” He said: “Do not get angry.” He repeated his question several times and he said: “Do not get angry.”_ _Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5765._ _‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: It may be known whether a person is really patient at the time of anger. And he used to say that the beginning of anger is madness and the end of it is regret, and anger cannot be justified by offering a humble apology. Calamities may come because of anger. It was said to al-Shu’bi: Why is a person who is quick to get angry also quick to calm down, and the one who is slow to get angry is slow to clam down. He said: Because anger is like fire; that which is easier to start is easier to extinguish._ _Al-Adaab al-Shar’iyyah, 1/183_ _As the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah will not increase a person who forgives others except in honour.” Narrated by Muslim, 2588._ _Sulayman ibn Sard said: "I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and two men were slandering one another. One of them was red in the face, and the veins on his neck were standing out. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘I know a word which, if he were to say it, what he feels would go away. If he said "I seek refuge with Allaah from the Shaytaan," what he feels (i.e., his anger) would go away.’" (Reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, 6/337)_ _The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If a man gets angry and says, ‘I seek refuge with Allaah,’ his anger will go away." (Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer, no. 695)_ _The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If any of you becomes angry and he is standing, let him sit down, so his anger will go away; if it does not go away, let him lie down."_ _Another great reward is described in the Prophet’s words: "Whoever controls his anger at the time when he has the means to act upon it, Allaah will call him before all of mankind on the Day of Resurrection, and will let him choose of the Hur al-’Iyn whoever he wants." @Joshua Jung no , u can do you no one cares with us, we stay and do our own things, but if ure gonna bring our father, family, religon country into all of this. Well then expect a dive bomb like that all the time. Connor took the piss to a whole new level and had everything coming to him, just wished they stomped on his head. Thats my only regret out of the whole thing

@Joshua Jung no worries, just a shame it had to go down like that, i would of liked to see a handshake and just be done but pride is a deadly thing, most of conors opponents take it on the shin, it just took the wrong guy that he messed with to change all of that

@Joshua Jung Well khabib is one of those that dosnt care, khabib said he would never shake conors hand and i have to agree with him , if someone insulted my people the way conor did, the same reaction would be inccured. Just a horrible thing dana white is for the UFC i mean using that footage to promote the fight aswell , jesus

Connor was a different man at the end of the fight 😂

Thank you yes he did. He went after one man. Not the fans. BUT if Conor got out of the ring it’s would’ve been a riot.
