Which one? Mike should not have gone for it when the score was 21 -10. A field goal ( with fifteen minutes left in the game ) would make it 21 - 13 and it would then be a one score game, We were fortunate to get the block kick on the next series and score a touchdown,

Hes exactly right. The defense was on the field entirely too much. They are worn down. I cant blame them they play hard. Now theyre all hurt. Too many 3 and outs. Tomlin first shouldnt have hired Canada in the first place. Then he held on to him too long. This season he shouldve been gone before the bye. I wouldve brought someone else in. Too many mistakes by Tomlin. But thats what he does. He has his way he sticks to it. He doesnt adapt. But he doesnt have the vet squad he had. Now he has a bunch of young talent that has to be developed and you have to have the right coaches in place to develop them.

@myles6574
@myles6574 10 ай бұрын
@@cr2lives lol I know you are not defending Trubisky. Its not just about scoring TD's, it's also about putting together winning drives and managing the game that favors your teams chances of winning. That consists of time management, situational football, and leadership to get everyone on the same page. What it's not doing is throwing the ball 50 yards down the field on 4th and 2 when we have a chance to at least tie the game with a field goal. It's not holding the ball for 6+ seconds hoping someone gets open. What being at least a competent qb is being able to throw with anticipation, throwing guys open, understanding situational football, managing the clock, and understanding reads that put your players in positions to succeed on plays. At least Pickett does one of those things. Mitch doesn't do any of them. All Mitch has is a strong arm, not very accurate tho.

Bill has always notoriously out schemed/coached Mike T regardless if it’s regular season or playoffs.. so I been knew something like this happening was highly possible just because of our history playing them, overall I see the Steelers under Omar Khan making big changes this off season epically with Mike T being on his last contract this upcoming season I see they giving him 1 more shot at it & then trying to do everything they can to be successful #1 thing has to be finding a offensive play caller & if it’s not that the Steelers are already not moving in the right direction
@stickman1742
@stickman1742 10 ай бұрын
The real key is the qb. Bill outschemes a lot of coaches, but he can't win with a loser like Mac Jones. Last night, the Steelers had their own loser in Trubisky. Mac Jones was benched and Zappe played well. That gives the Pats the advantage. The rules of today dictate that the qb means more than ever as they are the only player that other players can barely touch. QBs have always been the most important, but now it is off the charts.

I think I understand the Steelers now. The plan must be to lose the remaining games and get a higher draft pick and select one of those college quarterbacks that is tearing it up. Rudolph needs to play out the remaining games so his trade value improves and then we can get high second round pick. What a great season ending plan.

That's a great plan, but I don't think Tomlin is going to sacrifice his consecutive winning records to tank like that. Plus, the Steelers are back at the #6 spot in the playoffs due to the Texans lost meaning if they win out, they're in as a wild card.

Why the “not that we think he should be fired” qualifier? You then went on to list at least 5-7 things he’s done that would justify ANY coach being fired. Sometimes it’s just time to move on. Sometimes it’s just time to clean house and find that next guy that’s gonna take you to that next SB. If they can go find that next Demeco Ryans? Go get em and thank Tomlin for his service and wish him the best.
