your an idiot...smith was upset for a reason at that time the nba was locked out and the last time we saw james was in the 2011 finals where he seemed like he didnt care at all up 2-1...and after the 2010 playoffs where he seemed like he quit up 2-1 and wanting to go to miami and then not showing up in the 2011 finals ....it was so strange cause isnt that why he left to get a chance to win and then he didnt show up for his team who did enough to win.....smith was fed up....it rubbed smith the wrong way.....its not that james just missed shots or played bad cause that happens and smith is always fair to guys who try... he didnt show up or try after game 2..... thats why you never will see him that upset again...he always speaks the truth...well in 2011 the lockout was in effect too lets be fair to smith dummy...smith and many nba fans such as myself were so scared and sad of no nba....it clouded our judgement cause thats what we live for...we wanted to see basketball and was tired of the nba players not agreeing with the owners so anything not about an agreement pissed us off when it came to nba players thinking about doing other sports instead of nba that year... ...he was so sad no nba in november maybe until january... i think everyone who liked lebron was tired of him losing...like just win damn it you went to miami to win ....your team was great ...you didnt want to win...he didnt show up......just shut it and win...the 2011 finals pissed smith and me off cause he cost wade a ring...we were all waiting for him to respond but we might not have been given that chance cause the lockout might have meant no 2011-2012 nba season at all..smith was pissed....so were everyone moron...a lot was on the line ....if there was no nba season in 2011-2012 the fans may never come back...lebron was one of the leaders and best players so obviously its on him to get the deal done...smith covers the nba it gives him his paycheck weekly ...he needed the nba to make money

Durant didn't take part in a laughable pep rally where he promised multiple more than 6 rings and stated (verbatim) "Once the games start, it's gonna be easy." That's why he doesn't get criticism for losing; he's remained humble. KD would rather be called "the Servant" than to call himself "King" before even winning a ring.

Here's the thing about Lebron, I don't blame him! I blame the NBA, NIKE, and the media. Everyone kept telling him he's the greatest! Labeled him the chosen one, and King before he even step on a NBA court! Michael, Bird, and Magic had to prove they worth before anyone crowned them anything! Michael's rookie year, everyone were talking about this kid that can play the game. Michael kept working hard so he could be mention with the greats like Bird and Magic! Lebron doesn't have anything to prove to anyone because he already had the title of one of the greats. Hands down James it a great player in today's NBA. He has the skills and the tools. But lack HART, Take a look at the past greats, none of them has James athletic abilities but they have twice his hart! Hands down, he's doesn't respect the game like the others. If you don't believe me check out some of his interviews.

34stzoo - definitely. You can hear the entitlement when he speaks. He was crowned like all these kids before he he even arrive in the NBA and he believes all of the hype - and he's willing to do damn near anything to be called the GOAT. IMO he's going to keep doing the super team thing and play as many finals as it takes for him to pass MJ in his and publics mind - losses be damned. But I also think after this loss, he and his fans realize it's a losing battle.

@wesleygriffin78578 жыл бұрын
+Napoleon Soares I'll say this. If I need a clutch bucket. I'm still not going to make a play for Lebron to score. That ball is going to kyrie. I just need him to play defense and make the right pass to kyrie.

They have names, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem, Isiah Thomas. Yes and he dominate the entire 90s. Why cant Lebum dominate the entire 2010s. MJ show up 6 finals and won all 6. Lebron shows 8 finals only won 3. I dont count 2020 Championship because that is a new era. Regardless of astrerisk. So why couldnt he get it done? Too many opposing talents? Or perhaps Lelittle king James aint as talent as people claim. Look Lebron is an elite player. But he need to stop dropping 40 pts in those blow out game. Idc he drop 40pts. You aint fooling me. You still lost. And when comparing his clutch vs MJ clutch. MJ clutch is more impressive overall. Every star has a flaw. Usually like big ego etc. But I think Lebron is actually more of the selfless. His biggest flaw is his insecurity of his image/legacy. If this his legacy hes not the goat. He would be one of the longest player. But certainly not the greatest.
@MrAwesomeMatty10 жыл бұрын
I think Lebron is an excellent player, no doubt. But I don't think it's fair AT THIS POINT IN TIME to compare him to legends like MJ. I mean, the reason I think MJ is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, ballers of all time is that his team holds the record of the best NBA season to ever be done (72W-10L) and then proceed to win the championship. So, it's not just MJ, but the TEAM he was with too that made him great. If someone manages to tie or pass that, I'll be willing to say them on the MJ/1995-96 Bulls level instead of being near that level.

Ughh overpaid "analysts" telling individuals infinitely more talented, successful, and famous then they will ever be how to live their lives. I usually respect Stephen A. for his honesty and straight-forward commentary, but he made himself look rather stupid here.

So unless an analyst is better than an athlete at the sport they play, they can't criticize them? Please explain the logic there.
@slimjimmy14910 жыл бұрын
Alex Henrie I never said that an analyst has to be better than an athlete at their sport in order to have the right to criticize them. You just made your own narrative, claimed it was mine, and then asked me to defend it. Please explain your logic there.
@user-td4gi3ho3h10 жыл бұрын
Michael Kelley Well-executed deflection of my question, good work. I still don't understand your problem with analysts criticizing athletes; of course every single professional athlete is more successful than the analysts who watch them play. If we required analysts to be as talented, or as famous (an arbitrary and utterly useless measure, by the way. Kim Kardashian is more famous than Neil Degrasse Tyson), or as successful (professionally?) as the athletes they critiqued, sports talk would be a lonely place.
@slimjimmy14910 жыл бұрын
Alex Henrie The critique of individuals is human nature. We place a value judgment on everything. That's just the way the world works. But it irks me to see overpaid and self-important TV so-called "analysts" critique these individuals to the point of telling them what they should or should not do and how they should or shouldn't live their lives with such an arrogance and sense of moral superiority. This lack of humility and sense of bravado that is conveyed by these clowns is idiotic.
@user-td4gi3ho3h10 жыл бұрын
Michael Kelley Well given that the job of a TV analyst is to ANALYZE, yeah, I'd say they're within their right to do so. This isn't the 1950s, where the media would sweep stories about Mickey Mantle being a violent alcoholic under the rug because it wouldn't look good in the papers. It's 2014, where athletes are responsible for every aspect of their lives, not just the part that happens in front of the cameras. In addition, you think that TV analysts are overpaid? What do you think of professional athletes, who play children's games for enormous sums of money? Just so we're clear, I don't think professional athletes are overpaid (if anything, a salary cap has resulted in players being severely underpaid relative to their true market value); I'm asking how you can tell me that famous, influential TV personalities are overpaid without commenting on the famous, influential athletes who make twenty times what the analysts do. Professional athletes are not deities, immune from any criticism from us puny mortals who are oh-so-lucky to bask in their glow. They are rich, powerful, often deeply flawed individuals. If you think that people aren't going to talk about the things that famous people do, well, you haven't been paying attention.
