Actually, in many of Romo's "losses", the Cowboys were in a position to win when someone else screwed up. Sometimes Romo had a chance to fix it, but came up short. Yet, all fingers point to Romo. The guy that won 61.4% of his games and Dallas lost 30% of the games in which he was out. With the same team. Lets that sink in.

Stephen A ain't lyin. McNabb didn't get this type of pub and he's closer to being a HOF QB than Romo. Shit I thought the same thing about Tebow when they were all over him. Also the playing for the Cowboys argument is beyond ridiculous. I get where people are coming from with it but it doesn't mean it's not ridiculous.

No, Stephen has complained before, its why he dislikes the Cowboys because of the underserved attention they get and their fans fuel the fire, and ESPN eats it up because of ratings.....that is why Stephen called them on it, would not be surprised though if he doesn't get disciplined or fired because he is right and they know he does it in jest to some degree.

Now if people want to state "Its cause Romo did all this while starting off undrafted" thats some BS. Warner was undrafted and started his career with far more disadvantages than Romo. Warner is a SB champ and MVP. He also carried the cardinals to a SB appearance at AGE 37, narrowly losing. The coverage on Romo is GIGANTIC when comparing it to Warner when he retired. Likability far weighing out the realistic stats and accomplishments of Romo which is why i think SAS is so mad, he is right, you can't debate it.

I turned on SC around 7:30 to watch highlights of yesterday's games such as MLB opening day and the NCAA Championship game then around 8 the news broke and that's all they were focusing on. It's the exact same thing they did when Lebron announced he was going back to Cleveland. I understand its a big story but to focus on that over all the other sports is ridiculous.

McNabb's NFC title games/SB numbers... record 1-5 comp% 57 9 td 9 int 72.4 rating Yet Screamin A. brings him up as if he played outstanding in them or something. He choked and played poorly in most of them AND he had a great defense with him. Had this been Romo SAS would've been all over this but seeing how he's not and it doesn't fit his little shtick he fails to mention this.
@OtesTube
@OtesTube 7 жыл бұрын
funny that you mentioned McNabb's NFC championship/SB numbers. what's Romo's numbers in those games? Steven A only brought up McNabb because he played in them not how he played in those games. another thing is that Max and Molly kept bringing it up that oh Romo played for the Cowboys. had he played for anyone else, then this wouldn't be the big story. bottom line is that Tony Romo shouldn't be bigger than North Carolina winning the NCAA basketball title.
@eazyduzit-tr3nx

OtesTube Oh so we're rewarding a guy for making title game/1 SB appearances but has nothing to show for it? You think Bills fans from the 90's are gloating about those appearances? He brought them up as an argument that we should be praising him for it, he didn't mention how he played poorly in it bc it wasn't going to help his argument. That is what that clown does, he avoids any real facts unless it's a guy or a team he dislikes. Had this been Romo he would've been all over that. You realize he's getting this attention bc he's been arguably the most talked about qb for yrs and plays for Dallas who the media always talk about. Blame the media for always mentioning Romo and the Cowboys, that's not his fault.

the problem I have is that Romo has gotten so much attention and praise but other recent retired players like Andre johnson steve smith and demarcus ware who are all HOF players haven't gotten nearly as much as Romo

Romo has the 11th-best career playoff passer rating, and he's fourth in that category among his contemporaries. Wins are a TEAM stat, evaluating athletes in a team sport by championships and wins/losses is an antiquated, narrow-minded way of thinking.

Timmy Sullivan Stop with the excuses please.QB are leaders and one thing is for sure Romo can't lead a team to the SB!!

GetItLikeABoss So you're telling me that the 52 other players on a roster have nothing to do with winning games? Come on dude. According to your logic, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien, Flacco, and others like them are elite quarterbacks.
@GetItLikeABoss
@GetItLikeABoss 7 жыл бұрын
Nope it's a lot of lame QB's who get props for doing nothing.For some numbers matter for others they make excuses.Elite is a word that gets used way too much any way!!! But 1 got one for you when Wade phillips was the coach they 13-3 my team beat them they had a good RB,great WR and a good defense what happened!!

Un drafted to Dallas cowboys starting quarterback. Played through broken pinky finger and punctured lung. Broken collarbone twice and 2 fractures in his back! This man gave his back for his team to the point where he couldn't play golf anymore and people still wonder why romo gets loved? I wish SAS criticized Allen Iverson like that I mean where's his rings? Even though I love iverson.

Tony romo carried the franchise on his back in the early years. He had a pretty bad front office and a dreadful defense almost every year. If tony romo had the teams some of these qbs had he would have multiple Super Bowls.
