Stephen Amell is definitely one of my heroes. The man works so hard at any role he plays. He's a deep down, good dude. Great father and husband. Funny and talented. Seems pretty chill. Can't wait to see what else he does in the coming years. :)

He's one of those people even though I've heard nothing but good interactions with fans, I'd be scared to meet him. At best I'd be speechless, at worst I'd start tearing up because while the dark times are not over, and I'm now on the clock. I can't tell you how many times I've been in hell, and either rewatching or a new episode was able to take me away for it for an hour. What he started, the way he carried him self it was clear everyone in the Arrowverse looked to him as the example to follow when it came to the responsibility of being the lead (not counting Ruby Rose). Making those hard days and nights with cast and crew members something they could be proud of. Being upfront when there was a problem but refusing to have it affect his work because he realized the privileged position he was in. Not making his problem become the problems of everyone else who was working those days. I respect that so much, I never want to be famous or in that kind of position, sure you get paid more but the pressure, just imagine if he'd have fan encounters during the day his son was born and being completely stressed out.

It eventually stops you think that it's finally over, high school surprisingly doesn't suck, you enter your 20s. Life's starting to pick up you think "okay first hands I were dealt were rough but I'm in a different place now life can only go up from here". Then in your mid 20s suddenly collapse at work and get told your on the clock and it's only going to become more and more painful as the years progress so we have to turn you into an addict, because otherwise you'll end the timer sooner than we expect. You go through the motion for a while until you decide screw this, not gonna put the people you care about through this anymore. But the people who care about you get home earlier than was planned and rush you to the hospital. So now you have nurses who come and go every day to make sure your correctly medicated. Where a good day is when you've been able to make your own meal, and feel like you are helping out a bit by letting your sister sleep a little while you hold your baby nephew. It usually either results in a soyboy or columbine kid. One could say be grateful for the fact that the soyboy is in control. He's messed up, but has just enough will to keep on himself closer to the right side of sanity. The kid on the other hand... well the less said about him the better.

If he's your hero don't look into him too much. Absolutely toxic evil takes on politics that he has no say in.
@dcworld43492 жыл бұрын
@@SnifferSock Edit: I doubt you will bother to read all this, but incase you do. While I don't expect you to have a change of heart. Maybe this is the first time you hear a few things from someone who doesn't hate conservatives. In fact I long for the days when the GOP was maybe a bit too uptight. But did re-evaluate their position and would come to sense once they saw that what they wanted in theory didn't work in practice. Being a proper check and balance for the democratic party to not go off the deep end like they have, the same way the GOP did once the Tea party changed the game. Then I guess you don't have many people on this podcast you consider heroes given that not all but most actors are liberal in some way shape or form and hates Trump. In fact most people can't stand him, sure he has a sizeable following in the US with roughly half the country supporting him. But on the international stage. The rest of the world watched him as if life in the US had become a scripted reality TV show. Where the audience can't believe how he could get away with lying on such a consistent basis that he could deny what he said 10 seconds previously. Like how he talked about how wonderful the letter Kim Jung-on had written to him was. And when asked what Kim had told him he said that he hadn't had the time to read the letter yet. If someone had written that in a TV show 10 years ago people would have said "okay we know how snake oil salesmen corrupt politicians are able to spin the truth, but you are streching his lies to far. Surely he at least has to tell a different lie to different people". Yeah yeah yeah, all politicians lie, you can bring up emails, the laptop and to be frank I wasn't exactly jumping with excitement for the two candidates he went up against. It was actually sad and pathetic that it was impossible for the DNC to not have someone who was hungry, competent that would be able to call him out on his BS and at the same time. Call the truth about how the culture war has put a strangle on the democratic party. Since contrary to popular belief, some of the best leaders of various nations in history were not always good people. They were however good for their country on every other metric that matters on the day to day basis of the average persons life. The only thing Trump was good at was giving his already rich friends tax cuts, while pretending like the cuts would eventually trickle down to the less fortunate in his crowds.

Love this interview. It was amazing. I first knew of Stephen Amell from Arrow, the show that introduced me to him; I know that he had done a couple of things before that, including playing a werewolf in the Vampire Diaries, where he is ultimately killed after he tried to kill Elena, lol but I never really paid attention to him until he was cast in Arrow. To date, I have seen everything he has done, including Code 8, the first one, and I can't wait to see the second one. I love watching reaction videos of scenes for specific episodes or film scenes from fans. I remember when I first discovered that there was going to be a crossover with Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Arrow. I was so excited, and most have watched numerous reaction videos to the crossover trailer, and every fan like me was super excited. Ps Lol, when he says he doesn't warm to throw his daughter killed me. Such a huge fan of Stephen.

Keep bringing him back Michael, once you and Tom are done with Talkville and if you don't have any plans to continue doing another podcast. You and Stephen should do an Arrowverse podcast. By the time Talkville is done Stephen should have had enough time away from the show to be able to view it similarly to how you viewed Smallville when you first started to podcast and told stories that you didn't feel like you could before. Stephen can bring the behind the scenes stories, while you can bring a perspective as a legacy viewer. Seeing how Arrow picked up the ball you left behind and ran with it so beautifully.
