It's good that actors, writers and producers always acknowledge OTA. And for Amell to refer to OTA as the core characters. He also called OTA the core characters in facebook. Although the newbies are also growing on me. I actually like them now.

I like that he gave a little of info about what's coming. Sometimes staying to mum about a show is not a good way to promote. You have to tease the audience and make them interested in the season. The comic con lack of promo was really a let down and did not invite lost viewers back. I hope next year they go to comic con and really promote the show and give lost fans a reason to come back to the show. This is a good approach. What he did on this interview

While I'm glad that there won't be any OTA fractures, I fear this whole fracture is going to be merely an attempt to promote the B team and establish them as equals when they are absolutely not. They are not needed on this team, they weaken Green Arrow. This parade of masks that undermine Green Arrow is part of the reason the show has been having trouble. Because the action that made this show amazing in the beginning has been sacrificed for boring and underlit group fights. Instead of Oliver Queen fighting a dozen bad guys singlehandedly, you have a meta screeching away (not visually appealing, BTW), somebody tossing balls and Wild Dog who is just shooting guns.

TRADUÇÃO: Parece haver duas equipes: a original, que começou com Oliver e Diggle e depois com Felicity e que durou um longo tempo. O novo time ainda é recente. Num episódio em breve parece haver risco de uma ruptura entre as duas equipes. Quando Oliver é ditatorial eles mudam o roteiro, porque agora ele tem de ser mais colaborativo. What Arrow needs is to stop having it be about everyone else I don't wanna see stories for Felicity all the time, I don't want Dig being a Replacement Green Arrow it just does NOT work.... His amazing as his own character, I don't want to have the stories where we're like will they won't they oh hang on they're not dead... If you kill someone KEEP THEM DEAD!!! If you bring in a character like Rory (Ragman) keep him in please just bring Roy (Arsenal) back as the main sidekick, Keep Slade as a villain, Stop letting writers make it lose ratings Arrow started this Arrow should be one of the best if not the strongest show like it use to be! Season 1,2 & 3 Are the strongest seasons, however, Season 5 even though it was a bit rocky it was still a good season, For me Arrow is a life saver it's a show that's helped me through a lot and I love the people who work on it, however, I'm sick of hearing how it's not as good and how the fucking Flash is better.... I'm sorry but Barry Allen/The Flash works so much better on other TV shows I've not even gotten through one episode of the Flash without being pissed off at how cheesy it is... To make Arrow great again we have to make it like ARROW SEASON 1 & 2 Make Oliver the main hero make the side characters interesting but not too interesting where we lose focus on Oliver... I mean for god sakes what's the point in him having a new Bow if his not going to use it?

OTA was once OK back in season 1&2 but now it dose nothing but hold the show back You wanna know why people though Felicity was good back then because she was more or less a background character then they upgraded her to the Female lead and showed everyone just how boring and Shallow the character is even highlighted Emily's less that stellar acting chops. This show has two seasons left tops with the way people are tuning out and they can thank this show constant insistence that people watch for OTA and Olicity and that it is the hart of the show. This show was meant to become more and more like the Green Arrow Comics as the seasons went on but it derailed and and became something that Green Arrow fans will be glad is over and will be better off forgotten.

No, this show was never meant to be more like Green Arrow comics, that's a narrative by comics fans that has never been echoed by the show. The producers from the very beginning have always said they were doing their own thing with Arrow. What's holding this show back are the demands by WB and DC to promote intellectual properties such as Wild Dog, Mister Terrific, hell, even Black Canary to the detriment of what has been established for Arrow the TV series.

The whole point of the show was as the seasons would go on Oliver would become lighter and more like his Comic counterpart. the why make a show based on Green Arrow at all oh i know because if this show had been named after something Original it would no longer have been on the air. your wrong about Black Canary being a Detriment if they actually put effort in to the character we might have had something special but they are to busy with there Shipping and OTA the two things people are getting sick of. The Biggest Detriment to this show is Olicity and OTA and there unwillingness to be more like the comics.

See, this is the problem with some fans insisting on this being a live action version of Green Arrow instead of an adaptation, which is what the producers have been saying it is. No, the point of the show is to turn Oliver into a hero - a full-fledged one who can handle all facets of his personality without asking whether he is the mayor or the GA, a father or the GA, a killer or a hero, etc. It's a hero's journey, plain and simple. Now, will that journey turn him into someone more similar to his comic book persona? A liberal progressive with a penchant for chili? Possibly, possibly not, but that's not the end all and be all of his journey. Arrow is hampered by you self-appointed gatekeepers who keep bashing the show for something it has been repeatedly telling you for 6 seasons it is not.

But it is not a live action Adaptation of Green Arrow because an Adaptation has something in common with it's source material Arrow dose not.

It doesn't? Oliver Queen in the TV series didn't start out like the irresponsible, playboy in the comics? Oliver Queen is not a bow-wielding vigilante? I mean, the path eventually diverged but I'm pretty sure this came from the source material. It's an adaptation, not a live-action version, which seems to be what you're looking for. Arrow the TV series is NOT a slavish transfer to another medium, it's an adaptation, meaning there are going to be changes - like the show finding that the core of its story rests on Original Team Arrow and having Oliver Queen romance Felicity Smoak.
