Lost my Mom in March, I’m an only Child, this song, Movie, and songs from this period of time bring me back to being a little boy with my Mom beside me vibrant, healthy, and Beautiful…. This song came on the radio about an hr ago, and took me right back to that time, that feeling….. was driving alone and it hit me like a ton of bricks…. I’m 43, and with my own family, but certain moments alone I’m a little boy crying for his Mommy…. She was the most warm, Gentle, Loving mother that loved me more than anything! It’s bittersweet to close eyes and listen to songs like this that take you back to a time/ a Feeling that feels warm…..and then you open your eyes and realize

I was 9 years old back then, and now I wonder if my dad, who is now almost 80, remembers. It was a difficult relationship, especially since my dad suffered from anxiety/depression and alcoholism. As an adult and almost 40 years later, I understand my dad as a person, and it is easier to forgive his verbal and emotional fury. I only hope that my dad, who now struggles with memory loss, remembers me, and I hope that I made him proud.

I met Dustin Hoffman briefly outside an awards gala. He walked up and down the crowd shaking hands and thanking his fans. His wife was beckoning him to say hi and head inside since they came a bit late. Other celebrities turned up their noses and walked inside. He muttered something to her and kept greeting the crowd. I reached out through the crowd because he is one of my favorite actors. He saw me, reached back, shook my hand and said it is nice to meet you - I said thank you Mr. Hoffman and he was gone. What a great man!

The songs back then were produced with real instruments such as drums, piano, guitar etc. The songs nowadays are maninly produced by computers. Thats one of the big differences.

It was definitely a much better time to be a teenager. Songs and movies like this bring back many fond memories. The key is to merely cherish the moment you're in, when you're in it. Love the one standing in front of you and realize these are the memories you're making. Make them worthy.

@Larry harris I am a white man from Brazil. I've always loved Roberta Flack, Billy Paul, Stevie Wonder, etc. I never cared about the colors of the artists. Now we see this as everywhere, including in my country. The division of the people and the opening of scars are bad for all of us.
