My first exposure of him was from Shaolin Soccer, and that somewhat encouraged me to play football, well everybody else was in the cricket so it was just me and my football, another story. The fact that if you remove the kung fu from his movies(you can't and don't need to) they'd still be watchable, they even convey emotions that can even go as a drama movies you'd still never forget. Like, In Shaolin Soccer, there was underrated love story, transformation, Betrayal, message of hard and victory. In King fu Hustle there was Again underrated love story, survival, reality of life in a fun way, and fulfilling prophecy, and that emotional song that every time drags me back in the trance and childhood. In, CJ7 without alien, it was life and reality of the poor family, importance of life, education and status that you have bring up no matter whatever status you're living in, miracle, and understanding of knowing there are no shortcuts to achieve anything, and offcourse Sunny by Boney M. That man makes movies so emotionally no matter whatever he's presenting in even the scene, it goes straight down your heart. And now we wanna know when King fu Hustle 2 is coming, i grew up waiting for that movie...

smart is British English... means the same as handsome

I'm 100percent sure smart is the right term to use Mr.dummy
@viviantomlinson4 жыл бұрын
it can be easily misunderstood, if it’s any consolation the subtitles should’ve been “no wonder you LOOK so smart” because the way they phrased it, most people would just associate “smart” with intelligence *shrugs*
@viviantomlinson4 жыл бұрын
Interpreter polyglot JW yeah but “that’s why you’re so smart” does not mean the same as “that’s why you look so smart”

I think he was the best comedian in China. The knocking head 7:32 looks really hurt. If there were many NGs on it likes what are usually happened in his movie, you just can't imagine how obsession he put on his artifact.

He is too funny. I couldn't stop laughing watching Kung Fu Hustle. He is a great actor, really. His films are therapeutic for whenever someone had a bad day.

I love that he takes scenes from his previous movies and remakes them for another scene. That eraser scene when he grabs the eraser and the camera pans was used in shaolin soccer.
