He did not played better than KD on game 2 dude. Curry was horrible the first 3 quarters on that game then had an explosive rth quarter. Curry to win finals MVP needs to be more consistent on the games. Yes he is explosive but the guy has instances where he disappears for like 2 or 3 quarters on games. Same shit happened against the Rockets on the conference finals. Yes Curry is amazing when he explodes but the advantage KD has over him is that KD is way more consistent than Curry.

Though steph curry has become more efficient throughout the years, his movement here seems more dynamic (like look at that fake spin he does on lebron then shoots it right in his face, he doesn't even do any spin moves now), his passes crisper, and his handles as well penetrating easier. He takes a lot more twos and is more confident in how he takes them. Its like he lets his killer instinct drive him more as opposed to his more cerebral and formulaic game now, though he is still at his best when he lets loose obviously. Hes also shiftier in these highlights playing with the defense more in the paint seemingly because his athleticism allows him to though hes skinnier. It might be a combination of more wear and tear on his ankles, becoming more formulaic in the approach to the game to achieve more lasting consistency, and defenses playing him a certain way, but I still think there was a certain vitality here that he gradually has lost a little bit.
@Wolfey-bo9tt6 жыл бұрын
agree, curry has been getting so much slower in his game recently. His athleticism is definitely decreasing but hey, he is thirty after all. In my opinion, 2011-2013 Curry (maybe 2014 as well) was the best Curry we had.

@recca76 жыл бұрын
i dropped a comment about this earlier, I can tell that it's due to the countless ankle sprains and injuries he's had to go through. His speed is clearly hampered. I've had three ankle sprains from snowboarding and every time it becomes more susceptible to another injury. I can feel my ankle being pretty weak. yes there are exercises you can do to strengthen it but it really will not be the same. Just gets weaker and weaker, hope he can be more cautious or something. I enjoy watching him play and would love to see him continue for many more years
@mikaelespath76246 жыл бұрын
I believe there are 2 reasons for this:1) Injuries have taken a toll, but its really not that much. His movement, handles, ability to dribble penetrate and endurance are all still elite. He still, according to tracking data, runs more than most NBA players, and he really hasn't lost a lot of speed as well.2) The arrival of KD means that Steph is no longer required to be the main man offensively. He is now mainly the facilitator of their offence with his movement, passing and game IQ. He is now able to defer more as he is no longer needed to get 30 a night, even though he is more than capable of doing that and still often does.

T Minus what Iggy did was knock down open shots that Harrison Barnes was missing all series long and stopped Lebron from getting easy cupcake buckets at the rim that Barnes was letting Lebron have all series long. That’s just a guy playing his role well. Doesn’t mean he should have been given Finals MVP. He wasn’t the reason they won. Steph was robbed of that FMVP.

Steph was 26/5/6 in the finals, yet they say "he underperformed". Iggy was 16/6/4. Whoever robbed Curry of hs FMVP that year, should burn in hell. The man would've felt complete by now and play with more joy. Instead, he's got KD and needs to hear all that bullshit about his "lacking" confidence...

Miggz 1Bay What are you smoking? Iggy has his best seasons as a real star in Philly. More importantly, Iggy got beat by the Dubs as a Nugget in the playoffs before joining this team the next year and winning a title. Steph deserved this FMVP even though Iggy played great defense on LeBron

Never watched basketball or liked it my whole life, but one year when I turned 18 I started watching it because my roommate watched it and it was 2015 he was always rooting for the cavs so I figured I’d root for the warriors because I seen something exciting in them that year and the rest was history.

Honestly... Lebron lost to Curry. Yes curry had the better team but lebron is the best player that makes players around him better... Curry really didnt get much help. Nothing Allstar calibur anyways. If they say Curry didnt play to his allstar self and didnt win finals mvp when he did the best, that just means klay and green didnt show up at all... Curry won this series, he deserves finals MVP. Iggy guarded Lebron while lebron scored at will.

Never gets old. Robbed of the FMVP. And hated for stopping LbJ multiple times. I mean seriously seeing this highlight and how he played this series shows he’s transcrnded the game. If it wasnt for the injury he had in 2016, and the politics involved for letting the cavs win, they wouldve won that as well.
@tomcollins54552 жыл бұрын
And if it wasn't for the injuries to kyrie and klove in 2015 cavs would have won that
@joefrankenstein55532 жыл бұрын
Hated for stopping lebron? Without the cavs injuries, they win 2015. Steph blew a 3-1 lead in 2016, and draymond was gone for one game. Then he needed to go call KD.
@chuckyjamesamartin1968 Жыл бұрын
@@joefrankenstein5553 Uh, no. Cleveland wasn't as good as Golden State in 2015, and they win the series whether or not Kyrie is healthy or not. The Cavs fell behind 3-1 on Golden State in 2016 despite dreadful performances from Curry in games 1-3. 2016 should've been a Golden State victory, and the only reason it wasn't was because LeBron and Kyrie had all time great game 5's, they got out to a quick double digit lead in Game 6, and Curry kept missing in crunch time in Game 7. They beat a demoralized Golden State squad that had their 2 best players shoot just 6/24 (25%) from three by 4. It should've been a wipeout in Game 7, but instead it took a last minute shot from Irving to seal the deal.
@joefrankenstein5553 Жыл бұрын
