Yesterday was a really sad day for me. It was my only child's birthday and he would have turned 37 yesterday, but sadly he died unexpectedly 4 years ago, and the pain is still so strong, especially on 3 April. I saw "loved one" in the story title and decided for the first time in ages to pass on a sleep story, even though I'm sure it was meant for romantic partners. RIP, Armando ❤

I’m sorry for your loss Susanna. The story is meant for any loved one, but I completely understand that you skipped this one. I wish you peace. Armando is a lovely name. I am also an only boy, so I understand the love you had for him. Take care. 🙏🏻

Dear Susanna, At some moment in time, I hope you choose to listen. I have lived your pain for thirty-six years. My daughter's name was Amy Brooke and she will forever be twenty-one. She died on her birthday and she was my only child. I listened to this bedtime story tonight and found a way to walk beside Amy and hold her hand. We didn't talk for quite some time, but slowly the words came. I experienced a most precious and personal sense of love in its purest form. I know this pain. I am so sorry that you know it, too. Take care of you. Warmly, A Mom

Last night I took a bit longer to fall asleep, so I noticed two things. First this a truly lovely plot and listening really helped slow my racing mind. Second my cat, Lieutenant Dan, curls up next to me for the night when he hears your voice. I really enjoyed my time walking to the cabin with him last night. Thank you for a good night's rest. 🎉

Wow. Our daughter passed away a couple years ago and she was the one who joined me in the cabin. It was so bittersweet. But we loved walks in the woods, watching movies together, seafood feasts so this was a lovely remembrance of our times together. Thank you, bless you.

@@MARCIA.ZZZZZZ I wish that no parent, grandparent would have to go through that. As a friend, whose son also died, said, it’s a club no one wants to be a member of. I believe the same as you. Hello Stephen. What a beautiful story. My husband was the loved one I chose to join me. He is on the difficult journey into dementia and this story took me back to happier times. I could see the love between us and feel the closeness we once shared. It was magical. I know that person is still in there somewhere but sadly is slowly slipping away. I truly felt that we had reconnected in this story. I think I will be revisiting it again from time to time. I don’t know how you do it, but please don’t stop. Thank you. 🇦🇺

Thank you for a lovely story beautifully told. Reminds me of time spent with my daughter years ago at a retreat it was very special as i don't see her often. We went for a walk and visited a cathedral had lunch together and when we got back and had a restful night's sleep, she looked out the window and there were rabbits hopping about on the lawn. We really had a nice relaxing time. So thank you for giving me a nice memory recall. Love to everyone 💕

This is my favourite sleep story, not so much because of the story as I rarely make it to the story before falling asleep; but because of the music and white noise during the relaxation session.

Can't wait to listen to this one tonight! Though - so many times I barely make it to number 3 lol!!!!!! Stephen- your stories, combined with your voice and intention, are just simply- magical. What an improvement in being able to drift off these videos have granted me. I had been experiencing great difficulty falling asleep for months before finding your channel. Probably as many women, at my age, I'd been having at least one sleepless night every 3-4 weeks, making life pretty difficult in the morning. I feel so glad I don't have to resort to any kind of pharmaceutical but instead, just stream one of your stories! I absolutely love the captivating stories, meaningful and soulful themes, combined with your elegant voice and the mesmerizing images. If I happen to wake up at 3am I just find another and play it! It's comforting to know I can be assured getting back to the rest I deserve in no time. Thanks for producing these and please don't stop!

Stephen, I think it'd be really awesome to hear a story about your childhood. Or even a series of stories! I'd like to hear about your favorite childhood memory. Your voice has a certain sound to it when you are relating your memories. I really love hearing your experiences in life. They are my favorite. I can always hear a difference in your voice when you are describing how you felt at certain moments in life, how you viewed certain things. Maybe it's what nostalgia would sound like if it had its own sound! Heck, if I could bottle it and sell it as a perfume, I'd be rich! Imagine being able to sell what Nostalgia smells like. 😅 But then again, nostalgia isn't what it used to be. 🤷 😮

@@Stephen_Dalton we still have about a year and a half before she graduates. And it's a good thing because this mom is a little sad about her daughter growing up so fast 😭. I'll definitely look into the places you suggested. She is planning a research project on the area. I told her that if she wanted to go there we needed details.. Best time of year for weather, money exchange rates, do they have a tourist season and if, so when? She is actually pretty excited to do the research. She said anyone in the US could say they went to someplace like Hawaii for their Senior Trip, but how many people say they went to Transylvania 🤣

I have been a listener for many years and do enjoy your work every night to try and sleep. I wanted to tell you some of these back ground tones you add to these. Perhaps you are using theta waves, are giving me a feeling of foreboding. Also sometimes those tones near drown out your speaking. It is not all of them but some are very bad for me this is one, I am unsure if it is just me. I thought I should say something. Thank you for all your hard work I do appreciate you.

Sadly, this story didn’t work for me. I kept wanting to go into the imaginary conversation with my loved one like the prompts at the beginning suggested, but there was no pause to give a minute or two for that and the story moved on too quickly to do that. So I couldn’t really get into the narrative of the story. I only made it about 20 minutes in and had to switch to another sleep story.
