Our planet is not fragile. It has been destroyed by humans. It can be saved when people who destroy it seize to exist. When the people who rent your property destroy it, the solution is to kick them out and rent it to people who will take care of it. The same thing will God do to the people who destroy the earth and anything that's alive on this planet. That's only fair.

What did he achieve for humanity that has constructively helped our lives? Im just curious.
@Manager_Mister
@Manager_Mister 4 жыл бұрын
@@newforce5699 he advanced the field of theoretical physics. In particular cosmology, general relativity, black hole theories, (hawking radiation), quantum gravity theories. He expanded the way we look and mathematically view the universe. While most of these were theories and possibly never be able to prove, including the big bang theory, it was shown that the math did have constant values. Just do a search on Cosmic inflation Theory, singularities and black holes. He played a big role in these. It was important to try to show how the universe was created and how it continues to expand. Most of this was done from a wheelchair. A prisoner in his own body. This didnt stop him from his achievements. That alone is a great inspiration. Check out The Theory of Everything. Without going deep in theoretical physics it'll give you a rough idea of his contributions.

Tom J i mean considering behind him we have more of an understanding of black holes and relativity than we ever did i think he was more intelligent than 95% of the planet (just a guesstimate) and the driving force of what got me into science (Him and Jane Goodall) just because it's not something you care about doesn't mean it's not important to other people. And you don't determine my faith and what i believe. You're not showing the love of christ in your heart. Tell men when is the last time you've actually studied the word of God?

@moshpitsandbongrips6998
@moshpitsandbongrips6998 6 жыл бұрын
Tom J the fact that you're judging me as a student of science (biology major to be exact) shows that you're a liar. What does the bible say about judging? I don't promote atheism I accept that as a science major a lot of my heroes are going to be atheists and i can't force them to believe any other way. Do i believe in the big bang? No but other than how the world was created the way i look at science is "the way god makes things work"

Had this great genuine believed & confide in something greater than flesh & blood, he probably would have said, “look to the stars, yes, but also beyond them. He would have died with the hopes & spiritual beliefs of his genius predecessor. Not just in the sciences but in the humanities as well. His scope may not have ever been limited, but his hopes were in this which cannot be trusted beyond death. But then again, why should the divine need anyone or anything to believe in the enormity of Its existence. Either way, there seems to be enough on the table to eventually fly at the speed of light and put its finger on anything absolute. May he Rest In Peace(RIP), because now he has seen something more enormous beyond the material truth of his, I.e., “boundless reality.” Death is the dividing line of our own personal biases.

Alex. I tell you what, we all have within us the knowledge of choice. we hear the truth then it's What we choose to do with it. Steven Hawking had chances time and time again. he chose not to. he chose not to while he was alive and he chose not to as he was dying. now he's in the place he chose to be. Edit: So, to make sure people understand. One, it says that I wanted to do it. Not him. I was the one diagnosed with Cerebral pulsy and depression. Not him. I never understood his story, but after seeing "The Theory Of Everything" I understand now how stressful his life was. As a 15 year old with depression, suicidal thoughts and Cerebral Palsy, hearing this message from him is truly amazing. When I was ten years old, I wanted to die. I knew that nothing was left for me, but I didn't do it because I thought that there was a message for me to hear. This was it. I love this message because it truly speaks to me, I'm trying to make it to voice acting from Robin Williams and possibly science. Doctor Hawking, thank you for this amazing message. I wish I could've met you before you died, you truly are a good man and a great person who ever walked the earth. Life certainly did bring me hope, And thank you for bringing some more. -Max

If anything Dr. Hawking just said is still relevant, I think one might argue that telling yourself you're too stupid to make a significant difference in the world is the least effective way to make a significant difference in the world. I wouldn't say lie to yourself, but he'd probably tell you to focus more on what you are capable of than what you are not.

Instead of covering up my insecurity and satisfying the image of what people want me to be that don't really care about me. I decided to quit it and focus on game design. What has he contributed other than locating black holes or other celestial realms that have not helped mankind in any way. Millions are still starving. Still living far below poverty. Unable to access medical care all over the world. So there are black holes in the universe, so there are other celestial realms outside our universe. Humanity can't change any of that. BILLIONS of dollars wasted when it could have been used to actually benefit mankind rather than satisfying the egotistical curiosities of this man and others like him.

I have been depressed and felt like a failure for the past year and a half. I beat myself up and my family feels like it's falling apart with my parents getting a divorce and being homeless etc. I messed up my degree from how hard I've found it to get out of bed. Hawking's words made me smile and somewhat reassured that no matter how hard life can get, there is something you can do and succeed, the key is not to give up and where there is life, there is hope c:

Insomniac Just make sure those are shot-term goals. I myself am extremely depressed, so I know the darkness you are in. Never give up. Even when you're drowning in your own tears in bed alone, move along and fight until the very end, whatever end that may be. Never trust your emotions while depressed--they're all untrue. Think of your depression as a bad dream that will eventually be over. You'll survive. You can and you will. :)

Hold on people, I have been depressed myself, all these things will pass and you will find peace of mind again. From time to time life brings you to the worst and the best places and you will find ways to deal with it. And it may sound cliché but what doesn't kill will make you stronger, it's very true for a depression, because after your depression you will no longer be the person you where before. I wish you all well, hold on because there is light at the end of the tunnel.

There is nothing to be found in the stars. No savior, no hope. Not something we are looking for. Those things are further beyond. There is no other planet able to bear us because we aren't worthy, because we couldn't keep THIS one running in harmony. If we ruined the only habitable planet we had, that means we didn't deserve others. Do not look at the stars for hope. The hope is far beyond the stars.
