Our planet is not fragile. It has been destroyed by humans. It can be saved when people who destroy it seize to exist. When the people who rent your property destroy it, the solution is to kick them out and rent it to people who will take care of it. The same thing will God do to the people who destroy the earth and anything that's alive on this planet. That's only fair.

What did he achieve for humanity that has constructively helped our lives? Im just curious.
@Manager_Mister4 жыл бұрын
@@newforce5699 he advanced the field of theoretical physics. In particular cosmology, general relativity, black hole theories, (hawking radiation), quantum gravity theories. He expanded the way we look and mathematically view the universe. While most of these were theories and possibly never be able to prove, including the big bang theory, it was shown that the math did have constant values. Just do a search on Cosmic inflation Theory, singularities and black holes. He played a big role in these. It was important to try to show how the universe was created and how it continues to expand. Most of this was done from a wheelchair. A prisoner in his own body. This didnt stop him from his achievements. That alone is a great inspiration. Check out The Theory of Everything. Without going deep in theoretical physics it'll give you a rough idea of his contributions.

Tom J the fact that you're judging me as a student of science (biology major to be exact) shows that you're a liar. What does the bible say about judging? He would have died with the hopes & spiritual beliefs of his genius predecessor. Not just in the sciences but in the humanities as well. His scope may not have ever been limited, but his hopes were in this which cannot be trusted beyond death. But then again, why should the divine need anyone or anything to believe in the enormity of Its existence. Either way, there seems to be enough on the table to eventually fly at the speed of light and put its finger on anything absolute. May he Rest In Peace(RIP), because now he has seen something more enormous beyond the material truth of his, I.e., “boundless reality.” Death is the dividing line of our own personal biases.

Um... If anything Dr. Hawking just said is still relevant, I think one might argue that telling yourself you're too stupid to make a significant difference in the world is the least effective way to make a significant difference in the world. I wouldn't say lie to yourself, but he'd probably tell you to focus more on what you are capable of than what you are not.

Zander Mav. That is a mistake i used to make For example. I lack physical strength. I have a talent for game design I used to fitness a lot to get bigger arms but i realised i should'nt. Im not that much of a fighter anyway. I want to avoid it, but never chicken out. Instead of covering up my insecurity and satisfying the image of what people want me to be that don't really care about me. I decided to quit it and focus on game design. Now i finished my course with an average score of a 9.4 (with the maximum being 10. So like an A or A-) And my first game will be released on mobile devices around october

I have been depressed and felt like a failure for the past year and a half. I beat myself up and my family feels like it's falling apart with my parents getting a divorce and being homeless etc. I messed up my degree from how hard I've found it to get out of bed. Hawking's words made me smile and somewhat reassured that no matter how hard life can get, there is something you can do and succeed, the key is not to give up and where there is life, there is hope c:

Insomniac Just make sure those are shot-term goals. I myself am extremely depressed, so I know the darkness you are in. Never give up. Even when you're drowning in your own tears in bed alone, move along and fight until the very end, whatever end that may be. Never trust your emotions while depressed--they're all untrue. Think of your depression as a bad dream that will eventually be over. You'll survive. You can and you will. :)

Hold on people, I have been depressed myself, all these things will pass and you will find peace of mind again. From time to time life brings you to the worst and the best places and you will find ways to deal with it. And it may sound cliché but what doesn't kill will make you stronger, it's very true for a depression, because after your depression you will no longer be the person you where before. I wish you all well, hold on because there is light at the end of the tunnel.

There is nothing to be found in the stars. No savior, no hope. Not something we are looking for. Those things are further beyond. There is no other planet able to bear us because we aren't worthy, because we couldn't keep THIS one running in harmony. If we ruined the only habitable planet we had, that means we didn't deserve others. Do not look at the stars for hope. The hope is far beyond the stars.

@@Leadblast I 100% agree with you but I was also thinking that even if we kept our home on Earth perfect and all good from greenhouse gases, Climate Change, natural disasters, diseases, etc we would still have the risk of eventually the sun dying and if not that, us getting hit by an asteroid so I think in order for the human races survival into the future we need to get off this planet and learn how to adapt and survive on others in order to sustain life continually.

So if there's no life , there's no hope ! It means: when life's over , hopes are ended right there! Full stop. But: " Do you think that we created you in vain, and that you will not return to us".

@Green Eyed Okie 13 if he gave his life to god, he would likely be not successful. Relying on stationary rules with no progress. He would be praying all day, instead of doing something and succeed. If something would happen luckily there were someone other, who succeed.
