Stephen King Reviews #8: The Shining

The Shining is the only book I can say I was legitimately scared while reading. Granted I read it when I was a young teen but it wasn’t the only sort of adult thing I’d read at that time and even thinking about a particular scene still gives me the willies. Definitely gonna read it again sometime.

Yes I agree! I actually loved it the 2nd time around. While it wasn't my favorite Stephen King book overall I'd still put it at number 4 for my overall rankings of the 33 I have read! Only being topped by Desperation, Pet Sematary, and Salem's Lot as my number one favorite, and with Desperation it was a really close toss up but I really enjoyed Desperation's story as crazy as it is.
