@neoconnor4395 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, 50/50. If you want my honest opinion - as a lifelong metal fan and musician, metal folk of all the people I've met are kinda crappy. They're super judgemental, and obviously a proneness towards negativity, however, most of them aren't evil. They're just negative. There is a difference. I am a metal head. In EDM communities people are very loving and accepting, and so long as you're not being a terrible person you will basically be accepted and embraced, right out of the box. Whereas with metal, being a "good" person doesn't matter. What matters is, the clothes you wear and the bands you like. Literally. *I am a metal head* I recently went into more of the metal circles of my community, and it was a visceral reminder of why I left. I quickly realized if I am gonna hang out with these guys I am going to have to wear the uniform (black band hoodie, preferably some jeans). Which is fine! I love all that stuff! The problem is they (metal heads) won't love you if you don't look like them. And you wanna be like, "Dude, can we just chill and listen to metal?" and the answer is no. People will start shit with you for no reason... ....until you wear your black hoodie and jeans.

The “ever breathe a sound?” is real. I’ve been to live shows where there was so much sound pressure you could feel currents of air physically have their density altered by their volume. It’s like you could feel the individual compressions and rarefactions in the longitudinal waves. Amazing stuff. I really respect the diversity of music he’s been involved with. I only wish more of his collaborations especially the live stuff was available as recordings. I love to listen to them on walks and drives.

"Its kinda like being in a hot tub."- Stephen O'Malley I will translate what he said to simple English. In other words yes it hurts but its a painful hurt that is like being in a hot tub. Stephen cannot comment on the pain from it. WEAR EAR PLUGS! Just not the ones from the army they suck.
@unoaotroa5 жыл бұрын
xPumaFangx Sadly, earplugs don't help that much at protecting you from loud lower frequencies, which abound in Sunn O)))'s music.
@xPumaFangx5 жыл бұрын
@@unoaotroa I believe you. I really do. The army has to wear protective Kevlar vests and helmets. The main weapon that the Military fights against uses the AK-47. The round ,7.62, and power of this weapon is so powerful. That it goes right throw these vests, and helmets. To the point where it is noneffective. That Military vets dislike these armors. They still have to wear Kevlar. The damage caused by this music is so bad that the protection given is not enough to save someones hearing. If someone takes away all of the protection does that make the damage caused worse?

@Bandaera205 жыл бұрын
