best version of Crossroads...Stills getting after it

GENIUS! We are so lucky to be alive during this man's music. He exemplifies coordinating guitar, voice and lyrics to exhude magic music! I have followed him for over 50 years, been to many of his concerts, both in large venues and once in a small blues bar in Houston. He never ceases to enthrall my heart! 💖🎸🥁🪘🪕🎤🎵🪘🎺💖

So underrated today, though he wasn't back in the day. Stephen was one of my inspirations for taking up guitar in 1971. He hung with Jimi and Eric all the time.

“Whoever said Clapton was God never heard Stills play acoustic.”-David Crosby And a song considered Clapton’s signature! With a C. Berry jam because he Can. And this was as nothing to the 11-minute ‘Crossroads’ in open A drone tuning I saw him do in ‘88. Badass was in All Camo and all over the stage. He pounded that A string as if his pick were Mjölnir while not just chording but soloing as well and rather than two or even three guitars, it sounded like 7. He even closed with Clapton’s Original Live Wheels Of Fire solo note-for-note while replicating J. Bruce’s bassline! We gave him a 3-minute standing ovation to which he bowed humbly. Maestro Nonpareil.

In 1991? You are a seriously ridiculous person. How old are you, anyway? You'd be happier on a different site.
