I own an old Victorian house built in the 1890’s. Metal detected my Yard today (I also live in WV). I dug up a completely clear (greenish blue) marble. No design, but transparent. It was obviously a child’s favorite because it has impact strikes all over it. No idea what year it could be though. I pulled out a spoon from 1910 less than a foot from it too.

I was wondering how Master gets the same rolled up caterpillar look to the consistency? It’s must be in the way the liquid glass pours into the machine or is it the design of the marble machine itself that creates the pattern? Hi Debra, I don’t know anyone appraising marbles in your area . My advice would be to take it to your established auction houses in your area , they should be able to help.
