hey dr ray, pre dent student here, im still shadowing dentists rn, but how do you log your hour? i cant just put on the application "trust me bro, i got these shadowing hours"

Haha great question! I kept track of my hours on an excel spreadsheet and then yeah on your application you list however many hours you did with each dentist. It’s an honors system where you put what you put and they expect you to be truthful. But if you have a lot of hours with a doctor they expect you to be able to speak about that doctor and their practice specifically. That way if you put 50 hours with one doc and you come into an interview, you’re not just like “yeah it was good I learned a lot” they need to see you learned in those 50 hours if that makes sense
