when i first heard this song i immediately thought about this person i really liked who was either oblivious or didn’t care, he seemed to only want me for my body but there were things he said that made me hold on to hope that he really did like me, he talked abt us meeting up and walking around a college campus together but he never put in any effort. experiencing that while hearing this just really got me and made me cry. it’s been around a year now since i was in that situation and thankfully i’ve moved on. the song reminds me of it but it’s so beautiful that i don’t even mind im now practicing this in my vocal lessons. :)
