Thanks so much! This is the same project for my kitchen and I am replacing strip lights made in China that started strobing after less than a year of use. Looks like Philips hue are made in Mexico, so encouraging.

To avoid the shadow do I need to put the strip near the wall?
@alexmeyer4567 Жыл бұрын
you have to test and see @@sheld3696. From what I understand its generally best ot keep it as close to the front of your cabinet as it will allow to protect from light spilling onto the floor.

I was looking at installing these but dont want plugs installed. I do have power supply above the cupboard. was thinking if a LED driver 24v 30w would be possible and hardwire into it.

If you want to install them because you have an existing hue system, then innr make a hardwired driver led strip that is compatible with hue (I have a mix of hue and innr bulbs on my system).

Why does no one on the internet explain how tf to use the thing. I turned it on, it's white. I download the app, it gives me "demos", and asks me if I want to connect to some other devices. Then essentially says there are no other options. Do I need something else to operate this $90 strip? This might be the most poorly explained product I've ever purchased, with seemingly no clear information available on the entire internet (except for people on youtube talking to you like you're already aware of how to use it)

Have you seen seen my blog post? Bit more information regarding how you need to connect them blog.bay-bee.co.uk/how-to-install-philips-hue-light-strips-under-kitchen-cabinets/ - you do need a hue bridge with certain models of the lights to get them to connect - this video/post is just to show how to create that blanking gap for kitchen units
