@@carmenelenamitrofan6860 What you see in dramas doesn’t happen in real life. Asia, since the past, has always place importance on family. Unlike westerners, our family’s lives, how they go about it, how they live their lives is something we should care about as family. It may be seen as ‘meddling’ by others, but to us, we understand that it is ‘care’ that spurs their actions. Although i do agree that some parents meddle too much in their life choices, those are extreme cases, and a case in which someone just didn’t have the luck and has bad parents. But which country doesn’t have bad parents right? I’ve never heard of any of my friends parents telling their kids about who to marry or anything about their SO’s, not sure where you got this impression from. Just a little explanation since you asked :)

This thing came because i follow interracial couples and i've seen a case, also i watch a lot of documentaries and to be honest from dramas too. See my point on dramas is, yes they are fiction but it has to have a starting point there for yes it May not be all true but you know how it is there is no smoke without fire. The "care"... No matter if western or not the parents do care about their children but my point is stop meddeling all togheter it's not right that child does have a brain as a parent myself i treat my kids as normal as i can and i don't offer advice i only offer opinions because i don't live their lives, i don't go thru what they are going thru, etc.

@@carmenelenamitrofan6860 Yeah, it’s just a different culture thing. In the older generation, things were more like what you said. But things are starting to change now. It really just depends on your parents. My parents are very open minded and still respect my choices, but some are not. Asian societies are generally known to be competitive, even among parents. And we don’t like to lose “face”, which is obviously a very bad reason to be comparing your child’s achievements and forcing them to pursue more “prestigious” occupations like doctor/lawyer. But among my friends, majority of them are free to make their own choices while some still need to suffer from their parents, though only a small amount. Obviously, even if they have their opinions, they still listen(unless they’re really hopeless parents), you just have to reason with them logically.

Which he kind of hinted at. But as she said, not her problem, keep her out of it.

He believed that his daughter was dead too (or otherwise he would have killed her himself, as he admitted). Andy and that man have only recently got to know about each other's existence. Andy doesn't regard this man as her father, hates him for what he has done to his family, and she is quite sensitive about her family history (her mother and maternal grandmother had mental illnesses), so she doesn't want it to be known. Her first priority is to keep her connections with that man a secret, so she can't let that woman know. Because that woman wouldn't suffer, she would just use this information to destroy her soon-to-become-ex-husband and Andy too. She attacks Andy and goes to prison for that, without knowing Andy's secret.

From the context of this video, the man was suspected by the wife to have been cheating and she found the "daughter" stuff in his phone. She asked and the husband didn't explained properly because the daughter don't allow him to tell people about their real relationship. So she go and find the other woman out of anger(which she didn't know was the daughter" at the time). He asked for a divorce, so to the lady her family was already broken apart by this woman she found on her husband's phone.

She wants a quiet life being a high level executive not a scandalous rich abandoned daughter of a wealthy man. Her name will be dragged in the mud in the tabloids because of a man that she hates. Step-parent means they're married to someone with a child that's not their's legally in any way. Once adopted they're no longer a step parent, they're legally a parent.

Honestly, I had a similar situation when I was young hahaha... My "stepmom" was about to slap me and i was just 9 years old by then but I look like a teenager. My "dad" brought me home with him in that house for the 1st time after years and my "stepmom" was not able to recognize me and my "dad" didn't told her where he will go for a few days so she thought he left with another mistress. Long story short I was at the door and she was about to slap me and my dad stopped her and told her it is me.. she didn't believe him as he never went home for days and with out notice but they talked for an hour in the other room and after that she remembered me hahahaha
