Hi thanks for your questions. Well I will consider that, however the documents required for temporary authorisation are stated in the website, the link is below this video. Secondly, you must send the temporary authorisation to the Immigration Directorate Luxembourg via postal delivery so technically there is no interview. Nevertheless, once your application is approved you will be sent a letter of authorization which you will take to the Belgium embassy in the case of Nigeria to now collect your visa in order to enable you travel to Luxembourg. I will try and make a video and answer some of these questions. I did an Q and A question few weeks ago, you may check it out but I will do another one soon. Once again, thanks for your feedback. Firstly, you must provide all the documents listed by the Immigration Directorate. If you are applying for a bachelor's degree programme, you must apply for the recognition of your foreign certificate/equivalence before making your formal application. Also, since that process takes some weeks, starting it as soon as possible is better. Application for the 2022/2023 session will open next year, Feb - April 2023, for third-country nationals. Usually, you should authenticate your documents at the ministries by yourself; I dont know how your uni system works. However, for this year's admission (2022), according to Uni Lux, authentication was not required, just uploading the original copy was enough. However, this may change for the 2022/2023 application. I'm currently concerned with how to go about getting a visa because there isn't a Luxembourg embassy here either. I am hoping to pursue a bachelor degree. Here is my reply (1) Based on the reply I got from the admission department (SEVE) : If the student wants to join a bachelor programme with a secondary school leaving certificate not issued by the Luxembourg Ministry of National Education, he/she should contact the Ministry of National Education to apply for recognition of equivalence of diplomas. This document is mandatory for considering the application. However, If the student wants to join a master's programme, he/she should apply and after being admitted by the faculty, a letter of acceptance will be issued and then he/she would apply for recognition of the equivalence of the previous diplomas (Bachelor/Master). If you obtained your qualifications outside the European union you have to show evidence of French or German or Luxembourg proficiency when applying for the recognition of foreign high school diploma which is a mandatory requirement when applying for a bachelors degree programme at the university of Luxembourg. Hi Nonso, I think I have answered some of these questions previously in one of the comments sections. Firstly, you must be aware that policies and procedures do change from time to time, in my time we did the authentication and super legalization before the submission of documents. However, this time you don't have to do that, at least based on the exchange I had via email with the admission department of uni.lu, NO legalization is required at this time, all you need to do is scan the original documents of your qualifications and other required documents and upload them all online. However, this may change in the next year admission process, therefore I always emphasize that contact the appropriate authority(s) for the latest procedures and policies as the case may be. Here are the reply gotten from the Seve admission department of uni.lu on 21st March 2022. HERE is the reply from SEVE: QUE:(1) During the online application stage, do students from non-EU countries (e.g., NIGERIA) expect to notorize/legalize their certificates/transcripts before uploading them on the portal ANS: No legalization is required. A scan of the original documents is sufficient. QUE:(2) Are they supposed to still send their hard copies to SEVE after an online application and would these hard copies be Notarized/super legalized? ANS: All the application process in online through wwwen.uni.lu/etudiants/demandes_d_admission_candidature - no documents are to send by post to the University. QUE: (3) For the recognition of foreign diplomas obtained from their country nationals, would this be done before or after the arrival of the students in Luxembourg. Hi Zuman, well base on my experience you need to send your applications to the Immigration Directorate in Luxembourg for your authorisation to stay application. Once it is approved, they will send you a letter to that effect which you will now take to the Luxembourg embassy in your country of origin for them to stamp your visa, if there is no Luxembourg embassy in your country then you need to go to Belgium embassy because, they use Belgium embassy in countries where they don't have consular presence . However, I will advise you to also contact the Luxembourg embassy in your country of origin or and the Immigration Directorate if you need more clarification as policies can change at any time. Hello Nuels, I tried applying for a bachelor's degree in computer Science at the University of Luxembourg in February this year. After submitting my application, I received an email from the University saying I should apply for recognition of diploma through the link you stated in your video. According to the Application process it states that "Applications for recognition of equivalence must be submitted by post to the Department for the recognition of diplomas (Service de la reconnaissance des diplômes) of the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth (Ministère de l’Education nationale, de l’Enfance et de la jeunesse - MENEJ)." Does certifying my High School Certificate (WAEC) at the ministry of education in Nigeria bypasses this? Because if I'm to follow the due process, I'll have to process it through the Belgian Embassy and it is that applicants must at least have passed French, German or Luxembourgish in their secondary school certificate. I don't have any of the above mentioned.

If you are applying for a bachelor's, you must do the recognition before the actual application. Unfortunately, you cannot bypass that process; bear in mind that before you even submit the documents for recognition of your diploma, they must be authenticated/nostrified anyway. I don't have the current facts about the French, German or Luxembourgish requirements for that; you need to contact the university or email the appropriate institution for more clarity on that. Wow thank you Nuel. Another thing is, I have a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Abuja and I spotted a course taught entirely in English which is Master in Wealth Management. What I wish to know is, do I authenticate both certificates ( WAEC and Bachelor's degree together with transcripts )? Or please tell all certificates you authenticated and the ministry cause I saw ministry of foreign affairs also. I wish to get everything done before 1st February again. Thank you Mr Nuel.

@@bolabankole8417 Well, based on this year's application (2021/2022,) applicants applying for the master's degree programme at the UNI LUX do not need to authenticate before online application; a simple original copy was permitted. However, I don't know if there will be a change for next year's application for the 2022/2023 academic year. So please contact the university admission department to know the latest on that. According to the information from the university of Lux , if you are applying for bachelors degree programmes you must do the recognition of your high school certificate before you even start making an official application for admission but if you are applying for master's programme etc you can do it after application/admission. I do know that certificates in English do not need to be translated, and there is no language requirement to recognise a diploma, to the best of my knowledge. However, please, if there is the latest information on the website of the immigration directorate, which is the appropriate authority, then follow that information. Yes, you can apply for bachelors degree programmes with your waec ( original copy and not online copy) and transcripts of records from your High school/secondary school. NOTE: Most of the bachelors degree programme are taught with a combination of French and German language , so you need to have a certificate of French language proficiency at least before you can apply for bachelors degree programmes at the University .
