Yo los escuche en el año 1981 en la frontera de Paraguay y Argentina, en short wave 25 meters, con una radio National Panasonic made in japan . The Voice of America broadcastin from Washington the program time of Jazz with Billies Connovar, empezaba a partir de la 12:15 de la medianoche, luego a las 1 se anunciaba el fin de la transmision, This is the Voice of America sailing air. Que hermosos años.

I found this CD is the used section i cant believe someone got rid of it!1 their loss my gain! one of the best "fusion" albums ever as a sax man you cant help but listen and learn from Brecker...

Mi "STEPS" (AHEAD) preferido. Más, con Steve Gadd on drums. Erskine es maravilloso....pero yo los conocí y los vi en NY, con Steve. 7th Av South...........mágico. Grolnick......demasiao!!!!

Peter is the only guy who could match Gadd's genius in this band. Did you hear Smokin' in the Pit? This was a live Steps Ahead recording in Japan with Gadd on drums and is one of the best fusion recordings of all time, IMHO. But Erskine added a different dimension to this band, and it was equally hip. I saw him live in 1982 at a jazz club (in Hawaii!) and he was absolutely amazing! I will never forget his playing!
