been 2 months since the post but still. though it carries a nautical theme the song is about the nephew of Gord Downie lead singer for the tragically hip (for a girl i know its mothers day, the girl being his sister). he died of heart failure or something to do with the heart (His tiny knotted heart, well I guess it never worked too good...). because of the personal meaning they had never played it live until 2006 when they decided that if it could help others get over loss they should play it.

I'm a Hip fan, and canuck, never heard this version until today. Very good job. 2 thumbs up..sorry guys, it won't beat the original though..but damn good cover.

It's NOT a "version" that The Tragically Hip" does...it's their song. Stereophonics merely "cover" it. See the difference?

Not bad, but the original Hip version is far better--feels far more authentic, raw, and emotional. This is too polished.
