What a time to be 17 years old. The 90s were great. There were times when it wasn't so great. We had fantastic rock'n'roll

A year younger than you,but agree completely. Seemed every other week a new band would appear with a belter of a song, usually I'd spot them first on TFI. Had the misfortune of hearing radio 1 at work recently and how we went from a decade like the 90s,to the utter garbage around now.

@@kingrubbatiti1285 yeah it's sad how the music industry has actually alienated fans from there stations. The radio used to rock back in the day

Songs telling stories of the highest order. For such a young man at the time, what a sensational.powerful vocal performance from kelly jones. What a decade it was, with such unbelievable talent ,literally everywhere. And yet at the time,we just didnt know how special it was.

I'm about to swear. I apologise. Fuck me, that was amazing. Much better than when I watched on that Friday night having a beer at home in 1997. I never saw the raw energy back then. I have now been re educated.

Supergrass tbh, but I love phonics'...and almost all 3 pieces. Dont forget Manics also

@@stealthy7 few years back walked into my local Spar and Stuart Cable was in the queue clutching a bag of McCain oven chips. I did a double look of recognition and he sort of nodded back. I looked at his chips and he looked down at them looked back up and said “rock and roll eh bud” whilst giving me a cheeky wink. Sadly it was about 4 months or so after that he died. Not a huge fan of the later phonics or Supergrass but I definitely think Caught By The Fuzz is the best 2 minute and 18 second pop song ever…absolute perfection.

@@racingspoon Haha Nice ! Stuart worked and played hard....gutted when I heard the news that he`d died. A local lad through and through, as they all were. Supergrass were great, Gaz Coombs solo stuff is pretty good also - for me though having seen them live in a small venue, the Manics are unbelievably good - cheers :)

I was at Uni in Newport when these guys broke - they were absolute heroes. Kelly's heroes if you will! The drummer came to a party at our house one day and he was absolutely wrecked and fell through the banisters. We actually had to kick him out. I can see why the band struggled with his behaviour.
