2:18, as a Samoan/Australian, the misconception about Oceania being a peaceful holiday destination is somewhat true. Me and my family lived in the island of Samoa for two years, there were regular stormy days and flooding and in 2018, Samoa was hit by a cyclone (another way of saying hurricane). On rare occasions, there were little earthquakes. Chances are if you are taking a holiday trip to Australia, Aotearoa (New Zealand) or the pacific islands, keep yourself updated with the flood and cyclone warnings, but don't let that put you off spending an awesome time in Samoa. There are awesome clean beaches and they have many types of mouth-watering foods. If you do get a chance to take a holiday there, do it.
