Yes Methanol is counted as primary alcohol but actually this is not have primary carbon. Because primary carbon is that carbon which directly attached to one carbon further...

Here two concepts will be applied steric hindrance and inductive effect Carboxylic acids with more branches will be less acidic (as -R group has +I effect and more steric) which makes conjugate base more basic and hence weak to acid
