@@Teeveepicksures you changed guy; not Howard Stern. He shouldn't even be doing his show stil. I don't know why people can't just ignore the Stern show after the era they prefer. I used to argue in favor of the Stern show on KZbin videos back in 2006-7-8-9 with fans of this era saying Artie sucked and all that. Now Artie is missed and both eras are viewed equally. Understand that this is rose colored glasses and bias.

This is the genius of Stern and his show. He basically, hypothetically, asks "do you want to hear about (insert boring celebrity BS), or (insert random story about a show member)". The answer is always the show member. He exposed the benality of those who fancied themselves "important" or "interesting" by highlighting the lives of essentially ordinary people.

This is funny because people in general think that others can't really see them for who they are. We want to project something but in reality everyone sees us for who we are. The show was brilliant in this way. Whatever nonsense they were trying to be, they could all tear eachother down to who they really were. The song is stupid. The guy was making money and humoring his wife. And the wife wasn't going to make it in music ever. The show was brilliant in this way.

You said it best when you said….. “The show was….” Howard could never leave satellite. If he returned to regular radio they would be able to see his true ratings of how many people that do not listen to him anymore. From my understanding there is no way to track how many listeners are tuned into his channel on satellite. Sirius has and is loosing money by paying him today.
