Great video as always Chris. Seriously, Stern needs to hire you as their PR guy. Your videos and public relations are just as good, and probably better, than what Stern has to offer. You do such a great job showing and talking about the pin (gripes and accolades) that it makes me want to play or buy the pin. Keep them coming buddy!

Thanks for the fun vid, Chris. I have to say I was pretty disinterested in the Aerosmith table (not a favorite band of mine, despite enjoying their music pretty well...so the theme didn't excite me all that much) but seeing your review will definitely make me throw a few quarters down, especially when you compared it to the new Kiss table (which I was determined to be unfazed by, but now absolutely love after a few plays). The one big thing about this (and all current games now, I guess) that I don't like is the LCD. While it does offer those nice hidden counters and opportunities for more animators and artists to do their thing too (which is awesome!), I feel like it really detracts from the game itself. I feel compelled to watch the screen, and I don't want to have my eyes darting around through those distractions. I think, "How many mode shots have I made?" So I look up, get distracted by LCD animations/etc, and lose the ball or make another big mistake. Comparing that to any previous display, the same situation involves looking up, seeing the information I need, and looking down. I equate it to something like playing a video game, from virtually any era. Do you need a second screen to display your current HUD or statistics? "Hmm, how much health do I have left?" *glances at other screen to still see the same figures represented the same way, in especially fancy font with fancy designs around it* How asinine does that sound? Sure, it might be nice for additional deeper statistics...but that's why you have a pause button (status report in pinball) or other permanent statistic icons in menus (solidly lit lights on the playfield in pinball). People argue the animation possibilities outweigh the distraction, but look at Lord of the Rings, TRON, Star Trek, Walking Dead, Ghostbusters, or even the older games like Addams Family...never once did I feel like they were lacking...if anything, I found them more charming for cramming all that great animation into a simple dot matrix.

Good video Chris, thanks. I'm kinda mulling over the purchase of one of these as my first NIB, but not decided yet!

Hey, great to hear! Thanks. I hope you enjoy whatever game your purchase! Take your time and pick the right one for you, it'll be fun! :)

Great Vid Chris, thanks for sharing, enjoyed this. Looking for my 3rd NIB music pin and this could be it. Hows the longevity, are you still enjoying this pin, I believe it had a code update recently, I wonder if they added call-outs on the ball drains which were missing on earlier code? Keep up the good work.....

If I were to modify/customize the gameplay, I'd add a Midnight Madness where Janie (Janie's Got A Gun) shows up on the LCD! Just a thought there!

Hey Chris. On average, how long does it take you to get any given game down enough to start scoring particularly well and getting more consistent shots? Also, are there any tables piquing your interest for a potential next table, or are you just waiting to see what's coming next from Stern and co?
@Rasdock6 жыл бұрын
I didn’t care that much for the Transformers pin, but even as a very casual Aerosmith fan, this looks awesome.
@skippychurch29656 жыл бұрын
If Steve Tyler did callouts for this game in the same way they did Metallica, that would sell a LOT more of these. I'd be interested for sure.

I'm not that big of a fan of the music, they're alright they've got a few songs I like but the game itself looks like a pretty damn fun pin though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for the cost of a single pinball machine that will only ever play one version of one very specific type of game, you could own nearly the entire library of TurboGrafx games? I'm not anti-pinball per se, but if I had that kind of disposable income (or trust fund money) I could find so many other ways to spend it without filling my home full of obnoxious sounds and flashing lights.
@turbografx77 жыл бұрын
CAHSR so what your saying is you don't agree with his hobby?
@turbografx77 жыл бұрын
CAHSR and yes you are wrong about buying nearly all TG16 games for the cost of one machine. not even close actually.......
@CAHSR20207 жыл бұрын
Not even close? I used to own a TG16 with a substantial library and it cost a tiny fraction of any of the pinball machines I've looked up. I guess I'm comparing today's pinball prices with previous era TG16 prices. Maybe today TG16 games are all in the stratosphere thanks to collectors and game flippers cornering the market?
@turbografx77 жыл бұрын
CAHSR a stern pro which is what he is playing is around 5500 or less. TG16 games cost A LOT more than you remember it seems. have you priced out the most sought after games?
@spida1a7 жыл бұрын
CAHSR All I can say is ... regardless of price, how you afford/trade for them, what you love to collect ... if it adds "personal value" to you then you cannot put a price on it. 😊 Thanks for watching. (Hope to have the next Turbo Views up soon ... time to fire up some TV sports ... ugh).
