The conjunction of state and corporate interest is always a primary feature of Communism. The difference between Fascism and Communism is that a class system is permitted under Fascism, small business is allowed to develop, the banks are nationalised, and Fascism is nationalist as opposed to internationalist. Neither are ideal systems, but Fascism developed as an allergic reaction to Communism. Communism is far worse.

What it has ultimately comes down to is that there are so many establishment liberal democrats, who still uphold cooperate interests and no radical change to our system, that they’ve basically become the new Conservative party. There are only the justice democrats who are the very few that actually voice any progressive agendas. There is barely any real Leftist perspectives in office right now. I didn’t vote for Biden because I liked him as a candidate/any of his policies, (i voted for Bernie in the primaries) I voted for him because the Republican Party has become entirely beholden to an authoritarian friendly billionaire. The party (not anyone who votes them, specifically the politicians in power) has sunken so low to now grasp on to conspiracy theories and bigotry. This hurts all Americans, including anyone who consider themselves republicans or align themselves with Donald Trump. It’s hard to move people away from these conspiracies. It’s not grounded in reality, and its significantly harder to have any discourse to help change their perspectives. It’s a pipeline to far right, fascist ideologies which is far more dangerous to America and democracy than anything else this country has ever seen before. Especially after the storming of the capitol, I hope more Americans can move past all the hate and lies that Trump has been pushing for 4 years. I hope it’s soon, so we can have actual have meaningful change in this country.

I agree with pretty much everything Albini says, but it’s way too utopian While I would like to see the Democrats progress in the way Albini speaks of, it will never happen. The Democrats and Republicans enjoy their duopoly with more ideological similarities than supporters of either party are unwilling to admit they have in common and until it’s challenged, that’s how it will remain. The talk of radical change that the interviewer speaks of from both sides is true. While it’s great to see people go further left and demand social change for the better like social services, healthcare, anti-discrimination, anti-fascism, real environmental action and critiques of capitalism, the opposite reaction of people going far-right is very disheartening and worrying. I think we’re beyond the milquetoast centrist stuff that conventional Democrats want. The dissolving of the Republican Party that Albini speaks of is on point, but it’s only half the job. People need to push against the far-right, and the conventional wisdom won’t do that. Being liberal and conservative just won’t do it anymore. Our futures depend on people understanding the need of leftist politics.

That's true, judging Biden by his long political history, but from the perspective of about 4 years later (in 2023), one would have to be the likes of Briahna Joy Gray to deny Biden as president hasn't well exceeded what would have reasonably been expected of him before he took office. Not amazing but better. As far as Elizabeth Warren goes, I don't like how she handled herself in the 2020 race. She showed herself to not be such a good retail politician though Harris isn't either. Biden being the presumptive candidate for 2024 is playing on thin ice; very concerning, but here we go.
