@@AWlpsSHOW36 Yes, I am not aware of any law or policy that prevents resuscitation of a baby at a perfectly viable gestation period which since 23 weeks is 6 months, the baby can survive outside the uterus at that stage. In fact Doctors believe that 22 weeks is viable ( of course it’s still very small and may require assistance, incubation and apparently girls have a higher survival rate than boys ) So I am unsure why that was in this soap hospital storyline.

That hospital’s policy is that they can’t help a premature baby if it comes earlier than 24 weeks. Is that a real life thing? Do hospitals actually have policies like that? If so, can someone explain to me why?

@@002lisamarie I wasn’t aware of any laws that prevented a baby from being helped when born at 23 weeks, a baby born at 6 months gestation which Kim’s character is, is perfectly viable in fact Doctors say viability is 5 months aka 22 weeks although still very early and requires assistance.
