Well, he just tells what theory's all about in my opinion: not an end in itself, just a tool, but a very valuable one. It takes a while to know how to connect theory with your playing because many people consider theory as any other knowledge. It's not. The purpose of theory is to get familiarised with the way sounds get together or don't, it's not just something you need to know, but essentially feel.

He's playing a G which he says around 8'30. Even if you can't figure out the key you should be able to tell it's really low, and is likely to be A, Ab or G :)

why dont you mention the fact that there are minor key harmonicas?

Damn! I guess I NEED to Learn ALL of the Chords, and the associated notes, scales, etc., ...or go home!....

Major 3rd over minor? Surely you mean the opposite, minor third over major would be horrid, but what about gospel blues? - Junior Wells does it - I do it all the time.. :)
