1. How many IP did China stole? 1,10 or a milion? Why do you think the number should be big? If you didn't count that, how do you blame China? 2.Tell me how to force transferring techs? Tech transferring is in an agreement approved by both companies. If a US company doesn't like it, simply not to sign it, and invest in another country or company. No one forced you to transfer tech with a gun.

point is right on, unfortunately trump administration is just creating half truth arguments to muddle the water. 1979 china was poor and Deng says China has tons of labor but not much of industrial infrastructure, and if US companies are willing to invest and give China technology to build up industry then they can have these cheap labors. Not forced, but a calculated decision by all companies that decided to invest and work with China. I am sure there were tons of others says no thanks to this deal.

Nah, this Bannon guy is at best an average IQ guy, knowing little but with a big mouth. I bet he and Trump do not even what they’re doing, except maybe they felt some pain in trading with China. They don’t know what went wrong and what to do. So they chose to whine some nonsense such as forced technology transfer and IP stealing! Those accusations might very well be true 10 years ago, but nonessential any more. Just consider one simple fact, on yearly production of research papers, and highly cited ones (meaning high quality), China has or soon will surpass the US! You’re telling me the largest inventors of ideas rely on IP stealing to survive? Are you kidding yourself? The real fundamental problem is China ‘s national capitalism, so powerful now that no private corporations can effectively compete with! This has the potential to distort and disrupt the international market, and in the end it will hurt everyone. Hence, I am hopeful somehow the US can counter and dismantle the national capitalism to protect international marketplace, then we get a win win! Many of China ‘s internal markets have been already been hurt by this national capitalism. They could still thrive thanks to an efficient international marketplace up to now. Unfortunately, I am not confident of these idiots.

The only people who say "the naysayers in which the world was going to end in say, 12 years." are the ones that either don't listen to and understand what is being said or only listen to other people who don't listen to and understand what is being said. The problem is that in abut 12 years time, if sufficient preventtive action os not taen the warming trend will become irreversible. the world will not end, it doesn;t give a fuck about irresponsible humans, ad it will continue for eons. The problem is the future of the current flora and fauna. What are you going to tell your grandchildren? Also, the only reason there is a trade war is because of morons like Bannon. Someone is paying for all these trade wars big time and it isn't the PRC.
@winomaster
@winomaster 5 жыл бұрын
@@boffeycn You say in about 12 years, if something is not done, a global warming trend will emerge and it will be irreversible. The world has been warming and cooling for eons. Why is it that this time it is irreversible? We are on the brink of two technological shifts that are going to drastically reduce carbon emissions: Fusion power to replace coal fired electrical generation. And the ongoing shift to electric powered cars. Combined, the world is on the verge of a massive reduction of carbon emissions. Fission nuke power can serve as a transition power source untill Fusion power is ready to go around 2020. So what's the problem? Well, the greenie radicals will only accept solar and wind. But, surveys suggest the American people are increasingly unconvinced by the Global Warming thesis. (Good luck finding any reference to this in the leftist press.) So, the greens are just going to have to accept the reality that they are not going to be able to panic the public into accepting their utopian notions of idealism in energy sources.

Oh for sure, he worked for Trump. But there is political bias in nearly every media outlet in the country as well. This forces people like us to carefully watch both sides and come to our own conclusions - or, sadly simply get sucked into the side we find more appealing. I love this country and like to know what is going on so I can be an informed voted. But it's getting hard to even talk about our political views with other people. I've been called every name in the book and attacked at a Trump booth - I literally almost shot a guy because he was so outraged with my political views. Scary times my friend.

@Rags Toriches - It sucks to get attacked for simply speaking your beliefs, happens to me all the time. I've never seen it come from a conservative though, many heated debates but never seen a conservative turn hostile first. Every single time I have witnessed or been involved, it has been people with far left views that get violent and try to shut the opposition down by force, while declaring they are fighting fascism - oh the irony. In their defense, they are acting on what they hear from the government and the left wing media.

Living in Shanghai for 15 yo, bannon is absolutely wrong about China. I can see he never came and experience the chinese growth of the middle class in big cities as well as country side( talking about slavery in china is pure lie and misinformation). the average purchase power of the chinese middle class is rising quickly. The growth in CHina came from SME ( small and medium size entreprise) exporting everywhere in the world, there is no state capitalism in that. State Capitalism fails anyway, I can tell you that as a french, all public companie goes bankrupt within 10 years ( same in France, Same in China...) The Chinese middle calss is willing to buy more and more US products, if US want to impose a trade war with China, I can tell you they won t back up and retaliate dam Hard .The rising middle class will go buy Japanese or EU stuff. I believe it s a overall loose-loose for everyone, but I think CHina is already rising and have growth potential out of the US ( Africa, EU, Asia, South America) to rise and live very well
@niefanx

Nah you are the one who don't know China. Shanghai is a very small part of China, also the wealthiest. What happens in Shanghai is nothing indicative of the whole of China. 800 million Chinese live in rural areas, more than half of them never have a chance to go to a hospital in their whole life. The "middle class rising" part was already a story of the past, you got very outdated information. The average income of the Chinese haven't improved meaningfully in, I would say, the last 5 years while inflation siginificately outpaces the income increase. China already reached its ceiling in terms of siginificant economical growth. Slow down is inevitable that's why ultranationalism and communism propaganda are making a come back: the CCP does not have legitimacy in ruling the country, China's economical miracle(partly enabled by the west) was their only excuse, they need to find something else when it's not working anymore.

I love Trump. He's trying to do the right thing. The problem is on key issues he's NOT doing it. He won't come out against mass LEGAL immigration. We can not take in 1.5 million new citizens every year. We simply can't. We don't need more workers. They're not assimilating. We def don't need more low skilled workers. The president won't exercise his authority & stop catch&release. He could simply order the illegals be sent back to Mexico. He has the authority just like the travel ban. He won't speak out against the racism towards White's or that USA demographics are totally unstable.

Did you not watch the interview? this is not about trade war or how much soybean China should buy. This is politics and maintaining our global dominance. It's about restricting Chinese growth and influence. Once China set up the One Belt One Road, China can potentially stop relying on US and reshape the world economy. But American voters in general are too dense to understand it's not about trade imbalance. If trade imbalance was a serious issue on our economy, we would have done something in the past 20 years. The fact is our economy was and still is on a non stoppable rise even with the trade imbalance. Once again repeat after me, this is about world#1 making sure world#2 don't become world#1.

There is no vocational training system to update the skills of the exiting workforce, thats the reason for having the problems in the rust belt because people have not been taken on a higher skill level to cope with new challenges. We need to protect our farmers ASAP. They are political hostages right now and some are even committing suicide. We need to stop that now. Great interview. Good job CNBC. Bannon and Friedman need their own show or segment.
