Very interesting interview with the “behind the scenes” kind of vibe to it. I love “Trees Lounge”! Bought it on DVD many years ago but it’s on Amazon Prime (or Netflix?) now. I love how Tommy (Buscemi) keeps trying to get a line of blow in the movie but is constantly denied. The same with the little boy trying to get ice cream. Always denied. Hey that’s life, you don’t always get what you want!

Interesting, I never put those parallels together

@@bens5974 yes as I recall from the DVD commentary, Buscemi mentions something about that running joke, so to speak, so it was intentional on his part.

Good observation. Also the trucking guy's wife never gets to eat her ice cream.

This movie is one of the best ones out there. Whoever made it knows addiction, dead end bars dead end lives and Buschemi manages to bring life to it all. It's a simple truth reflected in the subtlest of hints in situations in your own self. Anyways the movie is great

Steve Buschemi is the one who made it. He wrote the movie and directed on top of acting.

"The impressions obviously you've done this before , who'd you do!"..Marrlon Brando laughter & chuckles delightful ,such whimsy and so insightful an interview. Buschimi is obviously really taken with this challenging and engaging press junket

This movie is so realistic that it’s annoyingly depressing. I want to watch a movie to escape reality and gain hope.

He is such a big talent. But, I remember laughing so hard watching the Sopranos when his character looks at Tony and imitates Jackie Gleason's loved "Reginald Van Gleason"!
