I know it was called street back then, but, in reality this is the precursor to the modern park skateboarding. Bowls with hips and big bank walls etc. A few years after this street skating became a whole different ball game. So in essence Steve helped mold vert/pool skating and the modern park scene. Certainly one of the greatest.

My all time favorite skater. He was so smooth and just awesome to watch.

Me too. I'm not a fan of the ponytail. I liked the bleached hair, minor threat t-shirt look better.

Cabs status in skateboarding is beyond legend. He is a god. He was a superstar before when Tony hawk was a grom. Kids today need to know.

He is no a god. He is a man who skateboards.

No he’s not. He’s just a man. Idolatry is a grave sin that puts souls on the wide path to eternal damnation in Hell if they don’t repent/receive forgiveness for their sins prior to death. Peace!

He’s just a talented/skilled man. Idolatry is a grave sin that puts souls at risk of going to Hell if they don’t repent/receive forgiveness for their sins prior to death. Peace be with you!

So nice to see this, gives me chills. Still got my blue mini Cab deck from back in the late 80s.

Woah that's sick. Cab was my first favorite skater.

Right on brotherman 👊 I still have the same but in red from the 80’s to and still ride it with my kids even though its kinda thrashed along with my Hawk. Bones Brigade was the shit back in the day!

@@ski874 Cool that you still ride it! I brought mine to a skate park some years ago and it was fun. Had my old Gold wings trucks and T-bone wheels on. A kid came up and said it looked cool, then he asked if I built it myself 😄

Crazy how back in that time this could be called street skating. Dope.

The video is entitled "street skating", but the posters for this event probably read something more like "skateboarding demo".

I wouldn’t call transition “street skating”.

Back in the day they'd have piles of sand sprinkled somewhere on the " course" and the sand trap was an obstacle lol
