This was a great interview, questions are on point! Steve knows what he's done here and it's truly amazing. I just bought a Super Bee to sit next to my Mercury V and could not be happier with Carr.

I have a Carr Mercury V and its outstanding. Now this makes me think I may need to add a Super Bee! Great show with lots of information. Really enjoyed it. It’s the best in depth Carr review I have seen. Thanks.

I'm lucky to have the 2, and it worth it. Incredible Amps

I demo’d the 12” & 10” speaker models side by side at SoundPure here in Durham, NC & they both sound terrific! I opted for the 10” as I already have the good fortune own 2 other Carr combo amps with 12” speakers & wanted a lighter amp with the 10” speaker. IMO the 10” is a very focused, high fidelity tone which sounds equally terrific with an entire range of guitars from a 335 to a Les Paul to a Tele or Strat & an Anderson Bulldog with P90’s!

Amazing amps, as you say with any guitar!

What an awesome video, great editing. Can’t wait to get a Super Bee myself. Maybe a comparison between the 1x10 and the 1x12 would be cool as well, I’ve read that they behave somewhat differently.

I agree we don't need more than 18 - 20 watts. I think it comes down to the larger transformer on high watt amps delivers the goods. Would be curious to know what Steve's doing as far as his, obviously custom spec, transformers.

I love big transformers and high wattage because I like the expansive dynamic range, rich harmonics and how percussive they are. That said, Carrs sound huge.

Steve obviously has an awesome sense of humour with that Korg Miku in the background! HAHA.

On this sting switch demo, the mid is set far too high to demonstrate the difference! The main feature of the sting switch is: scooped mid, regular black face mid & overdrive mid.

The problem I have with this amp is that you can’t take it to a jam and get above the drummer. Otherwise perfect. If this was 20 watt I would cream instantly.

Plug mine into a 4x12 Friedman and it comes alive, but you have to bring some shoulders
