Rebecca front and Steve coogan as Alan partridge 5 minute ABBA tribute deserves an award on its own ,I can't think what category it would be, probably the " it's just bloody Brilliant" award .

I've been admiring Coogan's work for a couple of years now... I've watched everything he's been in. I am probably the only proper Indian (living in America) to have adored the genius characters-Partridge, Saxondale etc. Yesterday, I watched "Ruby Sparks" an American comedy with Coogan in a tiny (shoddy) role. I am repulsed by these Hollywood hacks who don't recognize the genius that he is. Partridge alone trumps any other character created on American TV.

In 2002 I went with several friends (who were mostly Polynesians from South Auckland) to see a film, but it was booked out, so they had chosen '24 Hour Party People' instead. I didn't like the sound of the title, but we went in. I hadn't heard of Steve Coogan, let alone Joy Division, but I loved the film and Coogan's dry wit. Only afterwards did I find out that my friends couldn't stand the film, and only stayed because they could tell I was enjoying it!

how nice!.....to know that someone is real despite fame and fortune. I used to teach Danny Dyer and his younger brother in primary school and my niece was at school with Ross Noble. My dad's second cousin is Tony Hicks from the Hollies......and my mum?.....nah.....she just had a chat with Paul Mccartney at Crufts once( he and we had Old English Sheepdogs at the time) I think Steve Coogan is very talented indeed.......I also think apart from his characters......his scripts are underplayed somewhat which is refreshing for me.....only a Brit does that.
