Crandall has been so committed to the BMX community. For him to be coasting around, going from event to event, struggling to keep FBM living like he did... Thats a genuine dude, that takes all the smaller things to heart. Crandall, thank you for doing everything you've done through the years!

Same, I grew up in North Carolina around Mirra and nyquist skating and being scared to bmx. Fast forward to being 36 and after 25 years of skating I get a 21" bmx and learn feeble and Smith grinds. It's given me a second wind of stoke. Learning new stuff it's like discovering skateboarding at 12 years old but I'm 37 and in Boston. "Even better we got em when we're 40"- Dale in step brothers

Crandall is a rare breed. One of the few who has always sacrificed himself or his potential financial interests to make sure everyone else is having a good time. Fire, Beer and Mayhem to Fat Bald Men.....it's all good! Crandall is a good, down to earth dude and i hope he don't get too down and disillusioned as the crazier years of young life start winding down. It happens to us all in the end dude! I'm 50 now and have seen the evolution of BMX right from the start. I haven't ridden a BMX bike in many years but i have always loved the scene and used to take my young Bro riding everywhere during the 90's in the UK and remember some great comps and jams. I'm way too old and unfit to be wrecking myself on a 20" bike nowadays, but i still like to keep my eye on the BMX scene. If you love it, BMX is so much more than just riding a bike. If you are a kid starting out in BMX, it's your first real taste of freedom and the idea of real freedom is fading very fast lately. Get outside on a bike and have fun kids, while you still can! Get out there and wreck some shit! Crandall seems to have a genuine integrity. He has always been a great ambassador for BMX and all the places it can take you(good and bad!!), but only if you put the effort in.

Thank you! Once again, this was great and very interesting. I've watched all the unclicked podcasts with mid-school riders, and a couple with newer riders and i'm enjoying all of them. Bmx has been a very big part of my life between ages 12 and 25. I've stopped riding for quite a while now and i'm not following the sport much anymore, but i can really relate to a lot of things in these interviews and it's amazing to see what all those people i looked up to have become. So again, a big thank you for all the work you've done, and i'm looking forward to the next ones. Of course, i'm interested in any of the mid-school riders, so the list would be endless. I was thinking though that interviews with very influential people in bmx that are often less talked about than the riders would be very cool too. Like Marco or Chris from Props or Stew Johnson who filmed so many epic things (unless of course there's some bad blood between you guys). Dave Mavro comes to mind also, he still posts old school footage quite regularly on his channel. I'm sure many viewers would be very interested in what they have to say since they've witnessed so much but are not interviewed as often as riders. Some footage could be inserted for context, sometimes maybe unseen stuff. Photographers could be neat too, with legendary photographs that became posters or covers, or lesser known ones. Anyway, it's just something i was thinking about. What you're doing for our sport and its history is amazing as it is. Merci beaucoup (from France) !

We all were doing it for FBM! Such a major roll in BMX scene. I met Mr. Crandall at my local park in Charlotte, Mi. Him Cameron wood and Van Orman brother came and made my jaw drop as a younger kid. He ask my buddy, which he had a giant mohawk and dressed like a punk to say " FBM muther fucker" And many years later at Grand Rapids, Mi at the Rock N Roll Tour 2. Mike Aikten, Rob Wise, The Condor, Corey Martinez, Chase Hawk lots more riders were there everyone riding while Lucero played live oh man what a time. He is BMX....BMX is him, Legend.

Love Crandall and have the most respect for him and his incredibly important impact on BMX. Every time I see him, he’s been super nice and somehow remembers me, but the very first time I met him at ECT nearly twenty years ago, he must’ve been dealing with some shit because I was stoked and went shake his hand and he pushed my hand away and said “who the fuck are you?”. I apologized and walked away super bummed, so it really hit home when he was explaining how he was going through rough times and realizes that he was real shitty to some people.

Tom arkus cracked his fly frame and Dave happen to be there so Dave welded Tom's frame while we were there. We got to see the bitch'n camaro right before it came out. See the frame jigs and fixtures. The leftovers from the ghetto comp were out back and the burned out shop We got to walk through and check out. Good bunch of dudes, thanks for the inspiration and good times.

What he said was pretty whatever, but the fact he decided to film a bunch of instagram stories designed to undermine this brand and post them to his ~100k followers instead of calling or texting me was pretty insulting-especially from someone I considered to be a friend.
